I think I can... I think I can...

break 0.03 Huh

Yes... and I don't mean tickle it...  Poke over it for a second or two.  I mean plant a flag.

Bury it in concrete, build a launch pad on top of it.

I remember buying at .032 and waking up the next morning to O shit! Lol It will get there and stay there but my bet is when BTC drops a little more. I saw a local Chicago local news broadcast telling people how to buy bitcoin after the Patriots game and that makes me think BTC is heading south soon. But when it comes to people stupidity I always underestimate so it will probably double or triple first. Lol

I just started my journey in crypto world last year so I don't have any idea about Monero. I heard a lot about this coin and it is quite interesting, I'm planning to get some of this once I get my bounties. What I like the most is that this is one of the top privacy coin wherein the identity and transactions will be secured and I think this is what I'm looking for.

Self-moderated thread for discussion of Monero trading and price speculation.

Off topic posts will be removed. Off topic includes any extensive discussion of other coins, promoting other coins, or posting of promotional materials from other coins.

Non-substantive comments such as Monero sucks, Monero is a scam, Monero is great, Monero to the moon, etc. are considered off topic. Every post and reply should add to the discussion. The preceding sentence forbids repetitive exchanges on the same topic without some topical context.

Hostile trolling (which includes but is not limited to use of "meme" pictures to attack or demean) especially by sock puppet accounts is not allowed.

When quoting posts, please remove any large charts or other images unless the quoted post is at least one page old. Please shrink (or remove) large images in replies in all cases.

When I am speaking as the moderator, and only then, I will write in red. Other messages using red text are not permitted
People speculating on Monero may also be interested in the MoneroMarkets subreddit (unaffiliated)

Like how much up sir?

I also checked the price charts of monero and I couldn't find a significant up trend pattern on the price charts. I'm still looking for it and then I will make elliot wave counting to see.

Some good news: It seems that the Apple Dev license issue is halfway to being solved. Apparently there was a mistake made on Apple's side of things and that it should be resolved sooner rather than later. This from Endogenic, the mymonero dev, at the latest Monero Dev meeting on IRC.

I don't think there is much opportunities for growth for Monero(XMR) it is close to 400 dollars 6 billion market cap. If you think it can beat Ether go for it, but I personally will sell every XMR I have (which I dont Smiley)

Centralization is the glue that holds eth together--no doubt ethtards spend a lot of time huffing it to blur their depth perception.

Monero is still the only digital cash.

Allow me to tremble at the thought! (but I won't Smiley)

And by the way... If Monero were worth $8000 per coin it would still not be valued as highly by market cap as ETH.  So it can rise a lot before that is even a remote possibility.

How do people here compare XMR to ETH (obviously they are different platforms focusing on different things)? ETH has major backing but do the highly informed here think XMR has potential to rival it?

ETH is a centralized, mutable, unscalable, non-fungible corporate backed cyber-kitteh platform.  It has nothing whatsoever to do with cryptocurrency, or currency at all.

XMR is a grass-roots, community funded, decentralized, immutable, permissionless, fungible money.

Not sure how or why one might compare them.  XMR is money.  ETH is an incorrect answer to a question that will never be asked.

They are too different to really compare in my opinion.

What to make of the vast discrepancy between the prices? Why the high valuation in ETH if it is not useful at all? Crypto is very strange indeed.
