UPDATE

I can confirm Alex Green / Moopay LTD have sent the Syscoin team the amount reflected in this wallet - http://blockexperts.com/sys/address/SfZrsfQHw9FiQzy6wk4Ni1miXZsCY3yjN5. This is the amount purchased using 250btc of the escrow funds as "buy support" during the launch.

We have given Alex/Moopay LTD until 21:00 BST Oct 17, 2014 to release the entirety of the Syscoin escrow fund in order to prevent litigation. We have provided him with the contact for our legal counsel in the interim- we have not started litigation yet, but are fully prepared. We have not contacted UK Police as of yet. We will continue to keep the community posted on the action being taken here.

We appreciate the community's support in this issue. We have no contract in place enforcing the 250btc/month payout that Alex is checking if its ok to "break" with his legal counsel. Additionally the self-imposed due date of 250btc being paid out on 10/14 has already been missed (leaving Moopay LTD in breach of their own agreement).

We see absolutely no reason for the fund not to be released in full.

He is obviously trying to steal this, and stalling for time. This is plain and simple theft. Report it to the UK police.

I can't see any other way around for him than to return the btc unless he is planning on dissappearing which is even more fraudelent and will result in more time in prison...

If its gone legal not only will he have to pay the full 750 btc but damages due to punitive damages caused from not being able to sell while btc was high (because he broke the contract), thus effectively doubling his liability at these prices in $ terms. IF he can't pay he would have things seized from him in order to pay...

Yeah good news about getting syscoin back, as he cannot crash the market, but as an investor I'm still in full support of taking full legal action, and call UK police asap. I'd give him less than an hour, he's had enough time to get out of the.

@Slex (Ryan Gentle) You do realize that you might think you can walk away from syscoin but I assure you this will be the hardest hammer of all the legal issues your involved in, as this is clear cut case of theft, and extortion of escrow funds, that were supposed to be isolated funds.

Paying up asap might be your only way to stay out of jail. Not that you don't deserve to go there, you do, but with your other issues you have more grey lines with what you did. BUT, with syscoin, this is clear cut grand theft.

No jury would ever not convict you, you will almost definately end up in prison, and doubtfully the nice country club one, but the one where you drop the soap and your screwed, literally.

Pay up Ryan, in full. Syscoin team shouldn't even bother giving you time to do so, but they have, and you best take it as a get out of jail free card, cause your time is quickly running out.

Just to be clear we aren't stopping anything until we have the 750 BTC owed to us in a wallet we control. Alex/Moopay LTD has <24hrs to make this happen. We are moving forward with everything needed to begin litigation against him and Moopay LTD tomorrow. We've already provided Alex everything he needs to make the BTC payment.

Our understanding is that he is currently in Singapore with a business associate. Regardless of where he is or why he is- we've made our position very clear. We will contact authorities in whatever locales necessary and provide them with any/all identifying information (including pseudonyms, past names, and business associates he may be staying with in Singapore) to authorities in the appropriate locales. If the BTC is not disbursed to the Syscoin team this amounts to theft- plain and simple; and no small theft at that (~$285k USD).

If/when we enter into litigation we will also be seeking damages for the depreciated funding, time, effort, and legal fees associated with this initiative. In that figure we will also take into consideration how this has negatively impacted investors and Syscoin's progress as a whole.

We will continue to keep the community posted.

I just feel so bad for the devs right now.  You guys have worked really hard and to have this happen!  It's almost like a nightmare.

If Ryan/Alex is reading this:  it is in your best interest to return the btc.  Jail is not fun.

I don't know about the UK, but here in the US Coinabul has been (and still is) taking orders and not delivering peoples bullion.  So far nothing has been done, because it's BTC the FBI won't touch it.

What happened to Syscoin is really bad. Moolah scamming the community for that amount of money could have a huge impact in the future. I really doubt taking legal action would do anything about it. Altcoins are still not regulated and authorities don't take such things seriously. It would be like accusing someone of stealing some kind of virtual money from one of the computer games. We have to remember that it was not devs's fault.
