Damn still no answers... To get it working you need to set a user/password for your QT wallet. This is done by editing the syscoin.conf file. You can find it by going Start->run and typing %appdata/syscoin and then editing it with this info: addnode=seed.syscoin.tk rpcuser=anyusername rpcpassword=anypasswordyouwant rpcallowip=192.168.* rpcport=9368 listen=1 Then restart your wallet. Now you've got the wallet ready for services to connect to it. In the folder that you downloaded the marketplace app in, there is a settings.inc file. Edit that, and replace the placeholders with whatever you put in the above code, and it should launch straight away after saving that file. This is the answer to your question, but I can understand how only seeing: This is what i got in my syscoin folder in appdata roaming aliases blocks certificates chainstate database offers .lock db debug perers.dat wallet.dat
Can be confusing and "too complicated" for average users. This is a beta, please keep that in mind. These types of usability and experience issues can be addressed in further releases. All you need to do is create a new text file, called "syscoin.conf" in the folder you quoted above. Follow @sphericon's instructions from there and you should be all set!

I did create it but still have had 0 luck. Think I will just wait syscoin on hold till better instructions or a plug and play type gui is out.

I don't think it is fair to single out sys for this type of experience. This is how the underlying it coin tech works. As a third-party developer, I don't think it is prudent to be modifying settings for other programs in the user's application data folders. This app's setup experience is limited by what is available to me as a developer. That said it is still in the realm of the intermediate user to set this up. I will try to write out some more explicit instructions in a readme soon. I am also looking forward to seeing what the team comes up with

Just a little update regarding translations. Looks like weve found someone to do Chinese next weekend. Also people ready to translate Spanish, Danish, maybe German and Italian.
After the success of the bounty for the market GUI , what do people think about the community setting up a permanent Bounty Fund. Then developers who have an idea can come forward with it knowing that they will get something. Maybe have a board of trustees who vote on what gets accepted for bounty and how much is paid out. Thoughts??

Yes, Syscoin is about to become first coin ever with built in marketplace + GUI. But no, nothing mayor, lol. Just wait for the announcement.

Interesting Concept, You have my vote on that I'll push this post to the team and they can cast their opinions on that.

I'm from germany if you need translations. But you should tell me how and what i need to translate. Edit: If you already have a translator for german, than it's OK .

Have u ever even used bitcoin? U gotta be able to do 1+1 atleast Yea but any type of BTC software I want to use is already pre-configured, if I want to use a market place all I have to do is get a cod snip and place it. Also BTC has extensive online help I could read through and stumble my way through. All I a saying is, adding some default settings or maybe a readme in the download could help lol.

I will put in a readme so it is easier to install/configure. We want to make this as user-friendly as possible.

Hey sphericon, got time to hop on IRC? #syscoin of course EDIT: I'll be there for the next 8 hours roughly, let's chat for a bit if you can EDIT2: Talked to sphericon, there will be an updated build tonight, and I (as well as others) will test. JohnDorien is ultimately in control of the bounty being sent. Current bottom line for approval of bounty: Clear instructions of how to use the app, Proper Build, able to browse/buy/sell. We can't kill him with req's after the fact (after he already produced something) but if there is anything else anyone feels is important, please quote this and comment. I feel whats outlined above is the "bare minimum" assumptions going into this. Also sphericon (or anyone else) if I am wrong/incorrect in this, please say so it was not clear starting this, so everything is open to negotiation if need be IMO

Have u ever even used bitcoin? U gotta be able to do 1+1 atleast All I a saying is, adding some default settings or maybe a readme in the download could help lol. Please be patient- again I reiterate the software is a community Beta. Please keep in mind while the community works on a desktop marketplace app, the TEAM is working on a web-based marketplace app and translations are coming too. I was speaking with @cryptobum on IRC about translations yesterday night. I'm guessing we'll have an IRC thread up soon if we don't already and the team will of course contribute via the SYS bounty fund! Love to see the community helping out, this is what we need esp when we're not able to work at full capacity until we get our funding back- we're still pushing forward! ... I was up last night with @sidhujag battling RPC CORS errors. Hate. CORS. Other HTML/JS devs feel my pain nothing we can't figure out; we always do!

Still going to chat him and help him out so that we can make his next release even better Syscoin Team is 100% willing and waiting to work with community to answer questions / help / get more awesome apps and websites, etc built on top of the Syscoin service infrastructure.

The marketplace UI lives!! In your %APP DATA%/Roaming/Syscoin directory, make sure you have a file named syscoin.conf, if you don't, create one and put this text inside of it: http://hastebin.com/aleponusek.iniIn the directory that you unzipped the marketplace UI files to, there is a settings.inc file. Open this up in a text editor and make sure it matches this: http://hastebin.com/ibeligitoh.iniAdvanced users, you're right, you can play around with some of these var's as you please but they must correspond for the RPC of the wallet to work correctly. For non advanced users, follow these tips and you should be golden

Yep that is an existing sys bug with a patch that is actually going to be put out very soon, per Danosphere. The price is saved in the blockchain correctly, but the value returned is incorrect. Once this patch is out, the marketplace will suddenly "work" with the correct price Also the refresh does not seem to work for everything? Like listed items.
Yah I really wanted to put the refresh in for everything but I ran out of time last night, haha. I'm hoping to get that in soon as it would be great. Right now if you just restart the client other items will show up that you've listed. I know it is a bad user experience, but it will be updated soon.
