NXTY Coin is tanking, maybe investors cashing out and diversifying into Gems?
gems is the only high quality app in it's league i would recommend where it's devs actually have legit connections in the industry, the rest is untrustable because the money they raise goes in their own pocket and isn't stored in a convincing multi sig with known and reputable owners where the devs get paid on a milestone basis. I wouldn't touch those with a ten feet pole

I'd like to buy now but my concern is on how all IPOs alway crash below their initial price, which would make it smarter to just wait until it happens and then buy. Any hint on this?

As of now...what i find lacking is security for the wallet that is currently holding my GEMZ. all i have is my password. Can you implement 2FA Authentication asap? or do you have them already? couldn't find it anywhere on koinify website. Or can we transfer the GEMZ to a paper wallet? Guess not, since Trading and Selling will only be enabled after sale has ended. i can understand the reason behind that. But at least implement 2FA. I hope its quick and easy to get that added. i have come across a lot of news in the forums...people's BTC are being stolen, etc. if i really want to invest more, i would like to make sure i do not lose them.

Thanks for the feedback. 2FA is in the pipeline, we will have it implemented soon. We take security very seriously, and I will make sure to update you on our progress. Withdrawals will be locked until the end of the sale, and then you will be able to send them to wherever you'd like.

This project is far more professional, Legit with more trusted tech, developed tech with video, photo sharing etc and a team that makes Daniel look like what he is, a UNI graduate. Check it out and decide for yourself which project is the best. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=880647.0http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWLj_yGHKu0&feature=youtu.beTell me again how there are no other professional developers? hahah http://sendchat.org/whitepaper1sendchat.pdf

Pride comes before a fall and that fall is Gems tanking and SENDIT rising. Gems wont even have an Android app for months by then it would of been overtaken many times. And no photo sharing? What is this the 90's? SENDIT seems to bring soooo much more to the table than GEMS with market linking and developer incentives. Its a good one for sure. Apple is -1, are you all mocho-frotto hipsters?. It's not even a public Apple download and even if it was - I can't use it as I don't have an Apple phone (majority of the market is Android). This reminds me of coins that did Linux wallet only and never did PC and MAC until months later and by then people stopped caring.

The key here is also to focus on marketing outside the crypto community, if there is a gateway to get regular people in then this app is one of the best candidates, at the end it comes down to promotion which the team has done a good job. If gems can reach 5% of whatsapps marketcap in the future it would be great, it has a better chance in doing than the regular altcoin because it's very simple to be used by the common person, but like it said promotion should be aimed towards outside the crypto scene aswell.

Did Koinify just extend the earlybird sale by 24 hours?
By Invite (November 21, 2014 00:00:00 PST) Exclusive and by invitation only. 17,250 GEMZ per BTC.
Early Bird (December 1, 2014 09:00:00 PST) 48 hour flash sale. Same rate as early invites.
Regular (December 4, 2014 09:00:00 PST) Starting with 15,000 GEMZ per BTC. Decrease by 1000 per 5 days.
I just noticed that as well. I hope it's a mistake and that they are not changing the terms willy-nilly.

Maybe it's because that all the funds raised up until now will be released at the end of the presale meaning there will be no "incentive" for the future development.. "1. iOS basic release (50% fund release, or min 750 BTC)" Found this on twitter - https://koinify.com/blog/our-thank-you/So when will the airdrop begin ?

https://koinify.com/blog/our-thank-you/Due to the unexpected downtime, we discussed with Gems team and they've graciously offered a 24-hour extension of GEMZ at the most favorable rate. This will make sure that everybody who missed out on purchasing due to technical issues can get another shot. So yes, enjoy another 24 extra happy hours at the 17,250 GEMZ per 1 BTC rate. This will extend 24 hours from 9AM PST, December 3rd, and ride into the price drop at 9AM PST, December 4th. If you want to be thankful, stop breaking promise and go ahead on promised time-table. They can buy gemz with next rate (who missed out on purchasing due to technical issues) according to selling time-table, that's decentralised project so you can not sit there and take decision for hol!

The milestone thing is symbolic more than anything, I believe.
They get 50% (but could be much more) of the funds upfront.
Then another 25% for a milestone that they appear to have nearly completed (basic iOS release).
That leaves just 25% locked up, but it could be much less, depending on how much they sell in the coming weeks.
