i know this is probably answered somewhere in the thread, but how will the distribution be handled when the sale ends jan 5th. 34 million sold so far, so I take it 16 million will be burnt if this figure stays the same. Will the total supply also drop as a percentage - IE Originally 50% going to presale = 34 million, so will it be also 34 million divided up for airdrop, bonuses etc?

100 million GEMS is the total currency supply in the GENESIS BLOCK. Eventual supply is achieved as follows: 50 million Gems distributed to stakeholders; 30 million Gems distributed as daily Airdrop rewards during ~3 years after launch; 12 million Gems reserved for bonus block rewards, promotion, marketing, bounties; 8 million Gems + Presale BTC will fund the network R&D and operation costs.

No the distribution of the remaining 50 million stays the same.

Yes, I get that, but lets assume that only 35,000,000 gems will be sold during the ICO, what then? Still keeping 8,000,000 Gems will not be fair.

Yes, I get that, but lets assume that only 35,000,000 gems will be sold during the ICO, what then? Still keeping 8,000,000 Gems will not be fair.

I don't mind, i rather have devs to have a certain amount of deep pockets then having less. I would agree with you if devs were not honest and transparent which Gems has been. The concept has a good chance to succeed so more financial support would help them with that.

I believe sending gems is not possible until crowd funding ends, pretty cool we can exchange usernames to add each other. Adding people into the gems/bitcoin network hasn't been this easy.

Try finding peled1986 and pepeo, i could find them but you can't find everyone yet. i think a bug with adding contacts and search.

I have send some btc from my BitX wallet to my Gems app and from there to the Gems app of my GF successfully.
1% transaction fee right? Is it also 1% if I would send it as GEMS?
Btw the btc transaction was done in a jiffy. I'm positively surprised.

Can he send you btc just by knowing your username? No mobile number needed to add you to contacts first? I know sending a message to someone not in your contact list costs you gems which is unsolicitate messaging, but sending btc/gemz you just need the persons username/hashtag?

right now to send someone btc/gemz you need to add his phone number to your contacts first.
In the future sending unsolicited messages (paid with gems) won't need a phone number and a Gems username will be enough.

UPDATE: okay. i just tried to send to my friend [even though i got 0 GEMZ. lol]. but i got the pop up box telling me to invite him to join. Would be nice to have an auto message [not necessarily a pop up box] telling my friend "You have been invited by XXX to download GEMS to receive some GEMZ. Go to *link*" and i would see something like "User is currently not using Gems. He/She has already been invited to download." just some feedback for future improvements.

We agree, our plan is to add this function in the near future.

Gems username is not case sensitive.
For example: peled1986 / Peled1986 / peLed1986 are all the same username with 1 secret phrase

So I deleted and re downloaded the app and re registered with a new name. I guess what I'm worried about now is am I screwed for receiving airdrops cause it might look like I gamed the system and downloaded the app and registered twice?

I hope that remains a required thing for the airdrop. People's gonna try to register tons of accounts and use them just for the referral to receive more gems.

Whats the difference and is their version log somewhere, so we can keep track of whats being updated, improved or changed? Does the search feature work in your 'new' version?

Works on both like in Telegram, it finds the @username (i can find my own telegram user) , but Gems doesn't have a user database to search from.. there is no way to finds a Gems user from what I see..
