Great news!  Thanks James!

Well, I'd just like to take a second to thank all Teraminers for believing in me and what I have put together.

VPS is now at 1.7Th/s now with our pool running at 5.5Th/s.

One card is acting funny in a rig so we are going to pull it apart and see what's going on. Once that is fixed, we'll be at 1.76Th/s.

More equipment is coming along with an email update for all Teraminers on Monday.

Best,
James

Well done. It's a good feeling when patience pays off, isn't it?

I commend you staying rational, professional and following through in the face of all the irrational and unprofessional exchanges, suppliers, clients, and trolls.

Awesome news and thanks to you for keeping up your end of the deal.

I have one small request not sure if it would be hard but would like to know if anyone else is interested as well.  Would it be possible to get maybe just a small current Hashing line on our VPS dashboard showing the speed of current Teramining hashrate?

You can checkout any of the public stats pages.

There is no stats page for the 24Gh of GPUs out on the west cost, but they are still humming away.

If you are a Teraminer, you can also request access to the semi-private pool by emailing me at james@gigamining.com

This will give you access to our current stats including blocks found, payouts for each block, probability charts, etc.

Teraminers:

You should see two different payments today for Teramining. As the VPS family grows, I am off loading responsibilities and as a consequence, we've had a slight hiccup in sending payments. Needless to say we will make sure that there are no more of these in the future.

BFL looks to be bottlenecked @ 3500 chips per week right now (14TH/s). Given this limitation, when do you expect to have all 10.5TH/s up and running? If they're shipping FIFO it could be this week, right?

Well, instead of writing an email, I've fixed the minirig that had a 60Gh/s card down. Figured hashing is more important than emails.  Tongue

Total hashing power is at 1.84Th/s including the 24Gh/s out on the left coast.

Email to Teraminers will be sent in the morning.

Email has been sent. If you are a Teraminer and didn't receive it, email me at james at gigamining dot com.

-------

We've upgraded the PSUs in the Avalons so we could overclock them even more with the recent changes to cgminer.

They are now running at 82Gh/s each!  Grin

This should help offset the return of the FPGA singles as I needed to return them for the delivery of the first 1.5Th/s.

Another bump in hash rate to a total of 2.25Th/s for the VPS family. This brings Teramining to 400Gh/s and should be a big lift in weekly payments.

Our semi-private pool is also at a sustained 8.75Th/s which should help reduce short term variance.

If you are a Teraminer and would like access to the pool to see all of the stats, just shoot me an email and I'll send you a registration link.

If you are in the US then you can walk into any bank or credit union, ask for the notary, show ID, get the document notarized and it should be free.  You do not even need to have an account at the bank.  If you are not in the US then it is more difficult.

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately im not in the US. btw how much does it worth for 1 shares in btc currently?
can I use stamp duty instead? stamp duty here in Indonesia can be used to legalize a document.

Stamp duty is nominal only at either Rp. 3,000 or Rp. 6,000 on certain documents. The rate of Rp. 6,000 is applicable for letters of agreement and other letters, Notary Deed and Land Deed including its copies. For all documents bearing a sum of money, the rate is Rp. 6,000 when the value stated in the document is more than Rp. 1 million, and Rp. 3,000 when the value is between Rp. 500,000 and Rp. 1 million. Below Rp. 500,000 is not subject to stamp duty. For cheques, the rate is Rp. 3,000 regardless of money value stated.

So when will we be able to upgrade to Teramining, and what is the current holdup? How is it justified that some Gigaminers were allowed to upgrade, and others were not?

Would appreciate some straight answers to these questions, as I can't seem to find them in the thread.

If you're talking about what I think you are... it's because he hasn't received enough ASICs to be able to pay out everyone at Terraminer rates.

I have not received enough equipment to bring current Teraminers up to the full 9Mh/s.

How is it justified that some Gigaminers were allowed to upgrade, and others were not?

This has nothing to do with allowing. Some gigaminers upgraded in Jan/Feb turning in their Gigamining contracts. They are being compensated for their swift action in claiming and upgrading.

Besides that fact, if you take the free upgrade, you would be making less per week than sticking with Gigamining. The only way to make more would be to take the paid upgrade.

I am giving up possible paid upgrades to accomodate those who have been most loyal.

Can't blame you for being at the mercy of BFL time, but you did specify a deadline for claims. I claimed before the deadline, but the upgrade option was already gone when i got access to my VPS account. I thought I was being loyal enough sending you the requested ID scan and affidavit within the specified deadline. That could have been handled differently in my opinion.

Also, technically it was your decision, so you did in fact "allow" them to upgrade, and you did not "allow" me and others to upgrade. Though, in light of the fact that the free upgrade is actually making less than regular Gigamining contracts at this point, I guess I should thank you for not allowing me to upgrade.

One thing I noticed, is how you use the term "giving up possible paid upgrades", inferring that those would be most beneficial to you. Is it safe to say that you don't think the hashing power provided in the upgrade will mine more btc than the price of the upgrade? What we have here is a situation where one party has hashing power(you) and the other party has bitcoin(Gigaminers). There is no way a deal can be made that is mutually beneficial at this point. Buying hashing power with btc is always a gamble, with difficulty being the deciding factor. Calculating returns, using the same continued growth in difficulty, the free upgrade marginally ends up as the best option in terms of btc that I'm left with at the end of the contract. I could be missing something in my calculations though, but I guess I'll just play it safe and take the free upgrade when the rigs arrive. Thank you for the answers.
