To all Gigaminers:

I have received the first verified list of claimants. I will be putting all other work aside today to get these accounts setup with all of the pending payments for them to review. This also means that once payments go out on Monday, they will also be receiving a link to view the Teramining contract with instructions for how to upgrade to the ASIC offering.

On another note, Quentin has re-double checked that anyone who has requested information from him has received a response. If you have not, please email me and I'll make sure you do.

james at gigamining dot com

I would also like to thank everyone who has taken the time to submit their info and who have been waiting patiently for this day to arrive. I am super excited to start making payments and to start discussing the Teramining offering with those who will now have first crack at either the free or paid upgrade.

Best,
James

Received my account e-mail and completed set-up; thanks!  Everything looks in order...

Good to hear. We'll give everyone the weekend to review their accounts and payments will be sent on Monday.

Instead of sending another email to Quentin, maybe I can get the answer here.  Is it alright just to scan and email all of the required documents, or do hard copies have to be mailed?

Hi GoWest,

Either is fine. Those who are more concerned with privacy have mailed in their documents. It is a personal preference and up to you.

Have a good weekend,

Got the email.  Followed the link and set the password on the account.  Everything looks to be in order.  I can't wait until Monday to get all my BTC - a lot have piled up!

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

Is there a deadline on the claims process?

I haven't actually done anything about this yet, because I was hoping it was one big joke (the amount of things required to claim back investment).

Is there anyone that's helping people do this, checklist, advice etc?

Not at this time.

This is not a joke. Many people have completed the process and will be paid on Monday's again going forward.

Is there anyone that's helping people do this, checklist, advice etc?

I'm still hoping for a e-signature solution, all this translate, sign, notarize, translate, legalize, apostle hassle is crazy, time and money consuming task....  Shocked

There is a European Union Directive taking care of the Digital Signatures and the Law.

Here are the step by step instructions for claiming your contracts and getting your Bitcoins and your 1099-MISC at the end of the year.

Further instructions can be found here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=127437.0

1)  Download this document to your computer:  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oz5y4beQ_V3Yk59ZPEAMpjELchfXZdyxYYzZotE9GsE/edit

2)  Edit the document and fill in all the missing information.

3)  Notes on the various missing information fields:

a.  [insert full name of affiant]  This must be your name or the name of an entity as you want it to appear on the 1099-MISC form.
b.  [insert full address of affiant]  This must your physical address or the physical address of the entity to receive the 1099-MISC.  Post office boxes or mail suites are not permitted.
c.  [insert tax identification number of affiant]  For the US this will be either your social security number or the EIN of the entity you are using to receive the 1099-MISC.
d.  [insert number of contracts]  Number of contracts you own.
e.  [insert bitcoin payment address]  This must be the Bitcoin payment address you associated with your claim to http://www.glbse.com/
f.  "Apostille (outside US only)" Delete this phrase from the document if you are in the US.
g.  [insert jurisdiction of Notary]  I deleted this line and left a blank for the notary to fill in the proper information when I got the form notarized.
h.  [name of affiant] Name used for the notarization of the document.

4)  Sign and date the form in the presence of a notary.

5)  Make a copy of the appropriate document and mail it with the affidavit.  For real persons: a photocopy or scanned PDF of government issued photo identification, or, for corporations the document number and issuing jurisdiction of the incorporating charter and proof of current good standing.

6)  Mail the notarized form, along with the copy of the document to the attorney for GIGAMINING.  I sent mine so that a signature is required by the law firm and the signature is returned to me.  This is so I can prove they got the information and signed for it.  Whether you do that or not is up to you.  The address is:

Law Office of Carlos M Fleites P A
ATTN: Carlos M Fleites and Quentin A. Page
407 Lincoln Rd Ste 12-E
Miami Beach, Florida 33139-3028

All the information, including the mailing address for the attorney for GIGAMINING is here:

Correct. I know that Belgium, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Portugal have and use ID cards like that.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm just annoyed that there is so much work/costs required to claim than others such as LTC-MINING where everything was transferred to a new site and login set up etc.

Here are the [wtf] parts that I need some advice with:

Quote
c.  [insert tax identification number of affiant]  For the US this will be either your social security number or the EIN of the entity you are using to receive the 1099-MISC.

g.  [insert jurisdiction of Notary]  I deleted this line and left a blank for the notary to fill in the proper information when I got the form notarized.

So I need to hire a solicitor and provide my Tax details (NI number?) and identification to some nobody in the US?

Has anyone claimed who is a resident of the UK and can give me some advice in PM please?

Are UK citizens allowed to scan government issued photo identification card and send it to some hacks in Florida via  e-mail? Do you understand that your e-mail can be intercepted in countless servers it travels through all in plain text?
Did those hacks in Florida sent YOU a notarized, stamped and signed (and translated) letter, stating exactly for what and how your personal information will be used and how they guarantee that your personal data will be protected?

Nothing like that? Rally? Why not?

If you are worried about intercepted e-mail then encrypt it.

How many out there have been waiting for Quentin to email them back and like me have not sent any information in to him yet?  I have I believe sent him 2 emails with no response... does this mean if I haven't sent in my information because he hasn't corresponded with me yet I will be left out of gigamining payments if and when I do get my info into him?

Naelr

I am in the same situatition.

Otoh's question was promptly answered once I had learned that Quentin had not responded. johnlu, please email me directly and I will reply in the morning.

I will be working all day tomorrow to first, get out payments to those who have sent in their information and have been verified, then to setup the upgrade process to Teramining within the VPS web system.

We are getting very close to the arrival of ASIC. Please, if you have not received a response, email me again straight away.

My plans include ALL gigaminers.
