Yeah I think it's at the point where we are all moving out of the denial state.

Does that mean you're entering the anger state?

I should be, but to be honest just feeling passive about it all.

Well if it is a scam then it could be a way to buy time. Impossible to tell of course.

If the site does come back online and people get paid out I'm afraid some of the people will die from heart attack or shock.  Undecided

Ha yes, I can imagine people doing jumps of happiness. I'm pretty calm, but if it came online I might do a little airpunch  Grin

The longer it goes, the more dangerous it becomes for the future of LiteCoin! There's going to be thousands and thousands of LTC dumped within a couple of days if the site ever does payout again. It might not recover from that lol

It'll be fine, but there will be a bumpy week (I bet the payments, if they come back, might even be staggered to stop this). If I were a major player in Litecoin I'd be pretty pissed about it all though.

Are you sure? I think most of those who are not interested in litecoin selected BTC as payout.

Still the same problem maybe since Chris has to exchange LTC to BTC for these people anyway.

Yeah, depends whether he has been selling as he mines or whether he does it all in one go before payouts.

I think that procces would be automated , like the ETA.

You lads not written this off yet?

With all the nonsense of people getting police, Interpol, FBI, ISP's etc. involved we're way past any way back for LTCgear...

There have been some extremely poor decision made by some admittedly angry people who in turn have been egged on by those with no other agenda than closing LTCgear down. (You reading this interstellar or is it interstaller - asshole can't even spell his sock puppet account name the same on 2 forums)

The only pity, apart from the poor sods that are 'all in', is we'll never know if it was a ponsi, poor business plan or just a huge hack.
My bet for what it's worth is on the hack causing Chris to make some poor decisions.

If half the energy that went in to bringing LTCgear down went into finding the bastard(s) that hacked the system and ran off with our money instead, it might have been fixed out by now.

The chance of seeing anything back now is extremely slim.
I've lost out but it was only from my crypto play money. Feel really sorry for those that are suffering badly because of this.

Of course I'd be delighted to be proven wrong.  Wink

Performing payment system upgrade.
Unfortunately, due to unexpected difficulties in processing old database generated by December attacks, the upgrade will be delayed for two days.
New eta ETA is Jan 19.

Another timetable missed lol

It's gone, we can't do anything about it. If he comes back then that would be awesome, but we are missing like 5 payments now? GG.

If somebody pay with paypal, I am sure they already get their money back. So this should not be the reason of that delay and I don't have any logical explanation for this guy as well. But this one just following the same statements given by mtgox so history just repeat, this could be a lesson for all of us

Most orders were fulfilled with BTC, not PayPal.

The only time LTCGear actually took a majority of payments via PayPal was early 2014, when people were placing orders for scrypt FPGAs. IIRC, a small number of people bought shares with PayPal, but they had to contact beekeeper directly. Even then, the volume was much smaller than BTC.
