I don't believe the site will ever come back up now. These messages used to be a 502 or 504 error which loaded up a customized, server generated, error page. That meant the site was manually taken offline, but the files were still there in the background. Now the site is returning a 200 status code which means he has actually removed the WordPress files and all that remains in the website folder is this static HTML file. http://ltcgear.com/index.htmlSo at some point recently he has made a conscious decision to remove all the WordPress files from the website folder, and replace them with a static index.html file. I don't believe he's done this before. And it says to me he has no intention of ever bringing the site back up. Anyway, believers still gonna believe - even if Chris walked up to them, slapped them in the face, and said "Haha, you've been scammed". As far as I've seen he moved the site to another IP. He has before had this type of message without wordpress files behind it. Would be a good way to test security through having everything "unfindable" for the outside world. Instead of testing security on a live site.

Based on the earlier crap he got himself into with the physical miners, in the end, he fixed it. Took an awful while back then and with almost everything since he's been late and slow. So am I sure he's going to pay out? Nah, not sure. Do I think it's still possible for him to open up the site and start paying out? Yes, though that should be right after this current "maintenance". Getting another round of waiting after this would be getting over the edge for me.

Getting another round of waiting after this would be getting over the edge for me. The big difference is that back then he was just starting out. He hadn't taken in a couple of million $ at that point, so it was in his interest to sort everything out. It isn't now. That argument, "he fixed it last time but it took ages" just doesn't hold any water anymore.

Why go through the hassle the first time? He got $100k-$200k, which was plenty to pretty much retire in Romania.

more like 10 times that. I think I dropped off my text. What I meant to say is that during the FPGA physical chips, I heard he got $100k-$200k. He then took 3 months to do anything and had shitty communication then. Just seems like if he just wanted to scam, he would have kept that money and not went through all this work to build something.

Phase 1, build confidence. He sucked at that, but he managed it somehow. Phase 2, pull in as much money as possible. Phase 3, stop payments but act like you're working on restoring them.

He is in fact a genius. He did not suck at phase 1. He made sure we got the impression he's terrible at keeping to deadlines. This way we didn't pick up the pitchforks too soon during phase 3
