Look at this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=841223.0

Especially this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=841223.msg9389556#msg9389556

It appears BlockNet is the child of known pumper Promethius and Dan Metcalf is represented as complicit in the screenshots?

Dan is denying it here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=630547.msg9389927#msg9389927

This is some powerful stuff.  FUD or truth?  I don't know.

I think there is truth to all that.

From experience, I can say that anything associated with this Prometheus person should be avoided or be taken with high caution.  Dan Metcalf has also been shady in my book for various reasons that I discussed elsewhere.  It's really no doubt that it's the shady/dark side of the altcoin world at work here.

Edit:  Looks like one of the coins (SDC) has officially exited Blocknet due to concerns that were raised:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=840916.msg9384759#msg9384759

SDC was originally put forth by the BlockNET crew as a participating coin on announcement. The SDC community immediately backed down from that and withdrew.  This withdrawal and an ongoing XST spat (a Prom supported coin I think) is likely what is at the heart of the bad feelings on both sides, but that doesn't explain the statements made in the screenshots which were taken as far back as August.

I don't pretend to know the whole truth, but there appears to be no question that Dan is on the payroll of a pump group, and the BlockNET project as a whole is the brainchild of that pump group.

Crypto makes me sad sometimes.

It is quite sad isn't it?  I think it's quite clear now that their whole objective is to create a big pump.  They could care less about investors.

It's a shame there are so few honest projects out there that get hardly any recognition.  I really believe SuperNET can change that for the better.

Well the light got shown bright on that quickly enough.

Now we can all just get on with SuperNet. The crash and burn of BlockNet will make it harder for anyone else to attempt the same. Sometimes evil just roots itself out.

I didn't know any of these facts before hand. But I had every reason in the book to suspect such behavior as everything about BlockNet seemed sketchy.

The Blocknet Cycle For a Better Understanding Investors

haha

my first time to visit SUPERSHITTINGNET THREAD.

i am not defending EITHER xc or blocknet.

i lost faith in XC cuz i do not understand why they made such thing to dilute market and make themselves rich.

i hate the scheme.

actually i think they wanna learn from supershittingnet, which is apparently a forerunner of fucking trick.

boycott both SUPERNET and BLOCKNET.

both of them destroyed ppl's faith in cryptoworld.

both of them destroyed ppl's faith in cryptoworld.

Only noobs would confuse SuperNet with a scam like blocknet.
Now that you've got scammed few times, learn how to invest :

 - check the code
 - check the devs reputation
 - check if it is not a copy-pasta ( blocknet is an obvious copy 1:1 of SuperNet )
 - look at what kind of people invest in it ( noob account + sockpupets + serial scammers + ... )
 - ask the people that didn't invest in it, what do they think of it

I know I told you already, I'm saying this for everyone.

Also never invest more than you can afford to lose.

gotta sign that. in fact its research you should do on every coin you invest in, but also dont neglect the real purpose of the coin or project!

ofc even with a lot of research there is always risk attached.

Funny how some peoples can't even see the simplest things. The main difference between SuperNET and BlockNET is that SuperNET is backed by the investors money in multiple escorws. The BlockNET ito money is going to Dan's pocket.

Give me an argument why SuperNET shoud be a scam?

Dealing with NAT connectivity issues and other messy networking, slow progress. So, I decided to just see what happens if I ran the following API:

./BitcoinDarkd SuperNET '{"requestType":"teleport","coin":"BTCD","amount":".0001","contact":"s0"}'
now I have about a dozen telepods on my s2 server and already added contacts on both for the other. Now once you have a contact, it is put into the database, so it automatically loads. also, both servers have no connection issues.

the teleport command uses a simple genetic algorithm to select the telepods to use:
start evolving.14 at 384601.546000
     hwm {"c":"BTCD","tpd":"{\"v\":\"0.00010000\",\"t\":1414326260,\"c\":1538090497,\"x\":\"70d63e7c807a4734080e91ef05fc77ad151ed1cde6410bf201b06f98df1cfabe\",\"p\":\"UqoYd3rocuGrN4XdA6smBdQx4BTeeDqpBTgtq2B8N94LNCQR6ifC\",\"a\":\"RDqzsrkE6Th8rFZqJUfYdo99hzSJu1khuo\",\"o\":0,\"s\":\"76a9143214e137b7bf0c3cf7172d3e13a3b146c00e318f88ac\"}"}
-> evolved with bestn.1 0x7f952c0a7d50
finished evolving 1 at 384601.846000

Once it finds the telepod, it encrypts it using a shared key and a one time password:

private_publish({"deaddrop":"8201588598475185021","id":7,"time":1414960364,"type":"teleport","attach":"{\"c\":\"BTCD\",\"tpd\":\"{\\\"v\\\":\\\"0.00010000\\\",\\\"t\\\":1414326260,\\\"c\\\":1538090497,\\\"x\\\":\\\"70d63e7c807a4734080e91ef05fc77ad151ed1cde6410bf201b06f98df1cfabe\\\",\\\"p\\\":\\\"UqoYd3rocuGrN4XdA6smBdQx4BTeeDqpBTgtq2B8N94LNCQR6ifC\\\",\\\"a\\\":\\\"RDqzsrkE6Th8rFZqJUfYdo99hzSJu1khuo\\\",\\\"o\\\":0,\\\"s\\\":\\\"76a9143214e137b7bf0c3cf7172d3e13a3b146c00e318f88ac\\\"}\"}"}) -> s0.7

Now it sends it over the network using a findnode command:

Basically it is pretending to be acct #374764261261180465 and searching for node 8447171643292973228
You have to keep in mind that the actual destination's node address is 10694781281555936856.

####################### on the s0 machine, it receives a findnode for 8447171643292973228
but while it processes it, it notices that it is "from" 374764261261180465, which just happens to be in its list of possible senders that means it is really the 7th message from the s2 server acct 13434315136155299987

So a telepod went from one computer to another without any node knowing the actual IP address for the destination! Then I realized that I didnt actually hook it up to the telepod processing, so the sent telepod is now in limbo. I guess this will help test the teleport cancelling logic.

Still quite messy and many loose ends, but the fundamental process is working if all the conditions are met. Now I have to get the telepathic transfers much more reliable and of course activate the reception side of teleport, eg. cloning.

almost 90,000 lines of code is compiled into SuperNET, this is over and above the libwebsockets, libuv and other libraries

By the way, anybody that has an Ubuntu and goes:

git clone https://github.com/jl777/btcd
# Then you need to put your addresses in the demo SuperNET.conf and copy it to the libjl777 directory
cd btcd/libjl777
make onetime
./m_unix

will be able to get a SuperNET running. Once they are running and you have the various accounts funded:

On computer A:
./BitcoinDarkd SuperNET '{"requestType":"addcontact","handle":"computerB","acct":"<account for computerB>"}'

On computer B:
./BitcoinDarkd SuperNET '{"requestType":"addcontact","handle":"computerA","acct":"<account for computerA>"}'
./BitcoinDarkd SuperNET '{"requestType":"maketelepods","coin":"BTCD","amount":".0001"}'
./BitcoinDarkd SuperNET '{"requestType":"teleport","coin":"BTCD","amount":".0001","contact":"computerA"}'

Of course, this is still command line and it isnt using the best practices as the maketelepods creates traceable telepods, but it is quite a lot of what needs to be working that is already working

+1, much coding!

i have to say, i am quite happy that superNET actually has the focus on developing instead of huge marketing campaigns. i hope you can deliver!

keep it up
