Hi all just started mining solo on Ck had a quick question if any of you can help, is there any advantage to using a proxy to connect 7 x s7 together than them connecting to solo.ck individually.
Am i right in thinking the following: individually each miner is working on there own to solve a block.
through a proxy the proxy will get the job and share it out among my 7 miners they complete the work together and send it out.
i have tried researching to see if there is a way to connect them all and if it makes any difference, any help would be great.
Thanks Tony

It makes no difference. The only reason for a proxy is to decrease bandwidth usage by the individual miners and allow you to have one place where you can control your miners. However proxies introduced extra latencies themselves so unless you need the proxy for its above properties I would usually advise against using one - and if you do want to use a proxy, none will be as fast/low latency as ckproxy (ckpool in proxy mode.)

Thanks for that i have 100mb leased line so i dont need that just was unsure about them working together, many thanks

since the block reward halving is coming up in about 18 days and that pretty much marks the end of bitcoin mining for me.. i decided to put my A6, S5 and S7 on the solo pool.. maybe ill get lucky and get a block and be able to afford a couple S9s.
wish me luck.

Hi everyone and it's Friday already here where i live. About a month ago i decided for myself to put one of my s7's to ckpool once a week as a pure luck try. Respective decreasing of PPLNS payouts at my regular pool i treat like buying a lottery ticket weekly on Fridays)) Never posted here but the above example is too encouraging, so good luck everyone including me!

I have pointed my only S9 and 3 x S7s to solo.ckpool... who knows it may hit 25 coins! Good luck to everyone! It's not impossible for small miners to find a block - we see it time and time again in solo.ckpool and also in kano pool. My first solo block was only 18TH (4 x S7) -- pure luck that was.
