I think you should create an irc channel if you haven't already, haven't seen many pools that have one. It's probably because I'm almost always on irc I would like one Wink

I'll add setting up an official IRC channel to the list of things to do.  Along with forum signature bars similar to deepbit's.

Any preferences on specific IRC network, or should I just setup my own as irc.btcguild.com ?

Also, we're now at almost 12 hours since the server fix this morning, no crashes since, and stales/invalids are very low (~0.2%).  So those who moved off during the initial hiccups are encouraged to come back and try it again Smiley.

I would go with irc.freenode.net because of the nickserv & chanserv. I've had a few channels myself there for the software i developed a few years ago for the wii Wink

Kudos on the new pool!  The web design is excellent, best I've seen of the pools so far (though I haven't seen every pool, only: slush's, deepbit, bitcoinpool, luke-jr's, and only the front page of BTCMine).

Features are absolutely how to separate yourself from the pool-pack, keep up the great work.  I wholly approve of offering "premium" services.

If you haven't already, you might want to consider open sourcing your pool/site code so your community can help you maintain, fix, and add features.

It's also home to the official bitcoin channels: #bitcoin, #bitcoin-dev, #bitcoin-otc, et cetera, etc.

#btcguild has been registered on irc.freenode.net .  I'll try to keep a regular presence in there when I'm available.  Back to working on the email password recovery option and signature bars.

I just noticed that the round duration in the pool statistics portion of the web site is completely wrong.
You might want to fix that  Wink

We successfully made a block but it was orphaned by the block chain.  Wasn't able to test how this would turn up in the logs, so I'm now working on the code to allocate the reward as if it were successful, thus making the instant payout still available to 2.5%+ donating members.

For those who are paranoid, this is the result from bitcoind:

RPC error was due to a database lock, related to making invalid shares tracked in statistics so they don't go unnoticed.  Needed to allow negative block #s so the block #'s won't conflict with real valid blocks in the chain.

If you're looking at your estimated rewards, they may be jumping a bit right now as the invalid block shares are being allocated.

You may also be receiving a few more stales over the next 10 minutes (not HUGE, just above normal, 1-2% range) as the invalid tracking is added.

Yes.  As a 2.5%+ donator, you are insured against invalid blocks at this time.
