Yay east cost servers  Grin this will be much better since I live on the east coast.
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Great news on the new server, thanks for all your hard work eleuthria! I'll definitely be upping my donation percentage once the new servers are online and (hopefully) the idling and disconnect problems are resolved.

Are we moving to a uswest.btcguild.com/useast.btcguild.com/eu.btcguild.com type of situation, or will connecting to btcguild.com attempt to auto-negotiate the closest server?

You can manually specify a server if you want.  By default, btcguild.com will use round robin DNS assigning.  The latency between the server would not have a large impact unless you are running a significantly fast single miner.  Assigning users by proximity would likely balloon one server larger than the others, and I want it to stay relatively even between them.

Some weird glitches going on my estimated rewards jumped to 123 lol

I was testing the share counter cross-server sync for a fake end of round calculation.  It may have caused some funny looking estimated rewards for a short time.

I am increasing donation percentage. You've been working hard Cheesy

Time is money. This means that if you have spare time, you can use it to make money.

Modular, open, and stack-able miner case.

Those who were playing close attention probably saw a few rounds begin/end, and/or the share and round timer bounce back and forth.  Fixed a bug in the combination of the multiple pool's share counts.  I left a test variable in the share counting code, so the shares weren't being assigned to the actual round that finished.

No data lost, just a few minutes of chaos in IRC.

US East server is running smooth, and the load is very quickly evening out.  EU server will be online tomorrow afternoon as well.

Awesome, I don't receive "miner is idle" messages anymore!
btw it would be useful to see the current bitcoin exchange rate and a link to this thread on the left sidebar or somewhere else.

Yes, at this point, things seem to be running very smoothly.

Last share on the API and My Account page is currently have a bit of a problem, and miner idle emails have been paused temporarily because of this.  These features will be fixed tomorrow when the EU server comes online to finish the load balancing.

No more idles for me anymore, woo. I mean, it didn't really matter since my hashrate wasn't affected, but I guess it "looks" better. Now when I tell people to get on BTCGuild to stop raping bitcoin with deepbit 50% control I won't have to worry about them complaining abot idle workers and whatever.

Looks like BTCGuild is ready again to handle the larger workload it should be receiving. I'm glad I started donating, use my moniez to get better hardwarez, yayz.

Also go buy yourself a nice soda pop with my money to reward yourself too Wink

Good Job, seems the total hash rate has gone up again.  What do you think will be the limit for the pool as a whole, as when you will need more.

Just to make sure though eleuthria, my estimated rewards are currently 1/3rd what they should be, when the block is solved everything will be calculated correctly despite the balancing yes?

Just started up the BTC Guild workers on my cards that also have workers either hitting slush's or the deepbit pool. I see a decent bit of idles from BTC Guild. None from slush or deepbit.

Am I correct in assuming that if one of the workers on the card goes idle the other worker hitting a different pool will simply ramp up to take up the slack? Any downside to the mining rate because of this behavior?

Actually I was doing the same thing earlier, and i was getting 450MH/s instead of 420MH/s, so no downside at all Grin

Does the current reward & total round share count seem off to anyone else?

You mean the estimated ones (current round)?  Mine's about half of what I'd expect, but hopefully that's either a calculation error or something related to downtime on BTCGuild's end during this round.  That aside, I'm seeing a complete lack of errors for the first time in days, so this is a real step in the right direction.  Glad to see users' donations are appreciated with good work.   Cheesy

Just joined with ~1GH/s; more power on the way soon. Everything looks great, so far. Nice, clean and easy to use site interface. Donating @ 2.5%

EDIT: My stales and idle times are drastically reduced, compared to my previous pool.

There is currently an issue with the website. Ele said that he would fix it after he gets the European server up and load balanced. All the issues currently with the site are purely cosmetic.

My estimated reward is also 1/3 of the theoretical value. I am getting 0.04 with araount 1300 MHash/sec.

Is that a real problem, or are the rewards calculated in the right way?

If you like my advise, i would be thankful getting a small donation at:
