Why do people hate islam?

Ignorance. They know nothing about it and that allows people to fill the gaps in their knowledge with whatever bias they have. It's also true that all people hear about are Islamic terrorists. Obviously the jihadists represent a very small number of Muslims.

Absolutely right. They also hate islam because most people are racist especially when you are muslim. They will literally judge you.

Seriously it's ridiculous, sometimes the hate gets too much and I'm sick and tired of constantly defending myself and proving to everyone that I am not a terrorist, rapist, woman beater...etc you get the idea

There are so many good muslims around so why do people stereotype so much and only associate the bad? Why is this the case for minorities...

Why the hell can't we stamp out all forms of hate and extremism (left and right wing and religious) from our society and just get along.

Sometimes it makes me want to leave Islam, but even then I know the opinions on me won't change and I would still face racism which is just as worse.

we dont need to hate islam. Maybe some of them are hate them because some bad people are islam,. for example in a terrorist group, some of them are islams but not all of them are bad, more of them are good.,,because they are created by ALAH.

Some other people hate islam because of so many reasons like bombing in Twin Towers which is many innocent casualties died.the boming in france and many more. And the prime suspect is the terrorist like the ISIS. They want all people afraid of them because of thier evil doing. But we should also think that not all islam are bad. EXACTLY! They should man up too and show people that they are wrong of their accusations. I mean there's no argument that cannot be settled by a good talk right? Muslim people should come out clean and clear to everyone's faces that they are not terrorist, killers or whatsoever the media has planted people's brains.

Eventually when people actually learn to embrace that Islam are also our brothers then crime rates, criticism and religion related argument could be lessen.

Also here is something that most people mistake about islam is that "Islam hates other religions" for this I say, Islam does not hate ANY religion, but it suggests to 'invite' them to islam, as slowly, and peacefully, even if they refuse, you can try and try, until it's their choice, you stop. and for all the wars that happened, it's because the other religions decided to come into war on Islam.

Seems like you are a good Muslim. If only there is a chance to become your friend I would not waste that opportunity. I am true with this word because for me it is hard to find a Muslim with calm spirit. Most of your brothers are not good to make friends with others who are in the opposite belief whether a religious or atheists. Why there are people think that Muslims are bad, because most of the terrorists are muslims and they really enjoyed cruelty they've done. Distraction is their happiness.

As for me I don't hate Islam and I don't know why some do say they hate Islam cos  will are serving the same living God because I'm not a Muslim worshipers but I do say that in any religion you find yourself or any religion you are in to, just serve your God and never criticised anyone on his or her religion just be yourself..

My opinion. The more adherents of religion call for violence in the name of this religion, the less it is loved, those who profess other religions.
