Why do people hate islam?

It's true that Islam is a peaceful religion. People hate islam because only for wrong understanding. There are differents kind of religion in the world and differents kind of people's. We know that all people's are not same and not good. As like as all Muslims are not same.some Muslims do something wrong work so people's hate islam.but it's not right. I think,We should try to understand every religion's and then fixed that who is good and who is bad.

Not sure if anyone actually hates Islam(one cannot hate something they don't know about, so, only those who experienced what it is can hate it.) People hate "terrorism", and what's/who's behind it.

Well, I don’t think people hate Islam. The perception of the people in Islam might be the problem lot of people have ignorance and narrow-minded about Islam some are thinking if they heard Islam they think terrorist or booming. I think responsibility of the Muslim countries to educate their people so that other will not be scared of them. We should respect everyone’s opinions and suggestion because it doesn’t matter what your religion are. It is the faith that you have.

I am here to just say one thing? Why do YOU hate islam? and you should really give a valid reason not a shitty one that says 'Because media'

Also here is something that most people mistake about islam is that "Islam hates other religions" for this I say, Islam does not hate ANY religion, but it suggests to 'invite' them to islam, as slowly, and peacefully, even if they refuse, you can try and try, until it's their choice, you stop. and for all the wars that happened, it's because the other religions decided to come into war on Islam.

I have to agree why would anyone hate Islam? Islam is a beautiful and peaceful religion. I respect their rules, principles and ideals. People hating on a religion and it's followers is not an example of forward thinking. The religion didn't hurt you, religion didn't bomb a building, religion never killed anyone. Who kills is the people who twists religion's words and principles to their agenda and forward it. Personally, i like Islam. I have Muslim friends.

There are so many good muslims around so why do people stereotype so much and only associate the bad? Why is this the case for minorities...

Why the hell can't we stamp out all forms of hate and extremism (left and right wing and religious) from our society and just get along.

Sometimes it makes me want to leave Islam, but even then I know the opinions on me won't change and I would still face racism which is just as worse.

EXACTLY! They should man up too and show people that they are wrong of their accusations. I mean there's no argument that cannot be settled by a good talk right? Seems like you are a good Muslim. If only there is a chance to become your friend I would not waste that opportunity. I am true with this word because for me it is hard to find a Muslim with calm spirit. Most of your brothers are not good to make friends with others who are in the opposite belief whether a religious or atheists. Why there are people think that Muslims are bad, because most of the terrorists are muslims and they really enjoyed cruelty they've done. Distraction is their happiness.
