Hey quick question.... I downloaded the windows wallet from the OP last night but when I went to run it I got one of those "runtime errors" and it just shut down right away? Anyone know what that might be from or how to fix that? Cheers

I use the basic qt wallet. I could never run the new wallet. It needs optimisations.

This coin is such a joke. Big push early, lots of talk about Opal Drive etc, then as soon as they made supernet - nada. zilch. dead in the water.
then an update that says, hey screw you guys who believed in us, it's summer, nobody does anything in summer
concluded by the ultimate screw you suckers phrase "stay tuned".
end of story.
Well, the big feature was an API to Storj And Storj is waaaaay behind and competing with "Race to Zero Cost" cloud storage. What fun. Also, many of the SuperNET coins are tanking Because why bother spending 100s of hours maintaining a coin like FIBRE/BLITZ When you can just issue Assets on NXT based on pure hype (more incomprehensible alt coin "networks") Eventually you have to (a) deliver useful software or (b) issue more assets... And you can do (b) pretty much forever because issuer controls the price of the Asset on NXT AE... And all the muppets and mods on NXT will always protect new Asset Bubbles.

I thought the big feature was a HTML wallet, that would be useful for cross-platforming

I got in at 500 - 800s because of opal drive. Glad i got out at 2500, but im thinking of rebuy. So what's the progress on the drive tech? Please tell me facts not hype.

I wonder if Opal will ever come back alive I'm still betting on whitj+supernet Meanwhile I will buy small chunks at low prices If a fixed wallet+HTML+OpalDrive are unveiled, we will see price go above 2500

My thoughts exactly, oooh it's summer, blame holiday season for lack of progress. This team must have been on holiday for 5 months.

Did you know you can develop on top of Opal? Oh you probably don't know how to develop anything other than a bad attitude. Gotcha!

All these whiners in for the quick profit, hoping to dump the coin above 10% of purchase price, now all running panic. The sweet irony of hypocrisy.

A good coin needs a strong community, who are willing to put in some effort of their own to help with side projects, promoting the coin etc. Some of you expect the dev to work 24/7 on Opal and go without holidays just so you can buy a few thousand coins at 1500 sat and then sell them when it reaches 3k. If you really want the coin to succeed then chip in with some constructive suggestions or even help with the development... instead of just bitching about how the dev isn't making you enough profit.

Thanks for chiming in, I was short and in a hurry and your post does better justice. Of course we all wish the price would just skyrocket, but Day Trading coins only shows there are more people who just want to pull the rug out from under all the people supporting the coin. It is a mind bender trying to figure out how to solidify a value to a coin be it at 1500 or 3000 sats, there must be reasons to buy a coin. So to create a service is the real way to make it stable, so Opal has the right base to start with.

The fact that no development news has been made for a good length of time(maybe no development work we don't really know) and the lack of engagement from the dev team. I didn't claim to be a developer or that I could do a better job, although at least I can communicate effectively.

The progress that has been achieved is more than most coins can point out. If the devs told you a year ago that it would take 5 years, would you be happy at this point? Perception makes the glass look half empty to some, and yet to others it looks half full. But I look at the glass and instead of seeing half empty or full I want to know what is in the cup and is it Vodka or just plain Water. Take a swig and hope for the best! Cheers!

Yeah I would like to know about this too, it looks like whitj is either sarcastic or not drug-friendly any implementation of white market without the actual censorship would be interesting, but I cant think of a way how to implement that.

People will always complain regardless of how much time and effort the team puts in. It's simple is you don't like the coin its concept features or dev team there are 1000 other coins you can invest in.
Have a great weekend.
Greetings from down under

Yeah I would like to know about this too, it looks like whitj is either sarcastic or not drug-friendly any implementation of white market without the actual censorship would be interesting, but I cant think of a way how to implement that. Ya know, the happy talk karma whores like dark can suck the Big One. Half-baked crypto "markets" are a dime a dozen.... And while Tor dark markets are doing 7 figures in business (however you may feel about them)... I don't know of any decentralized market that's not limping along at 4 figures/day... Even the NXT AE had several days this week where TOTAL volume was about $2,500. There are fundamental structural problems with decentralized markets that no one is willing to talk about... It's all fairies and unicorns and gimme a another million $$$ for a Raspberry Pi mesh network Asset... The only forum I see anything resembling critical analysis is BitShares... and they are always struggling due to massive overhead. So, hey gang, let's tack on a "market" so people can hawk t-shirts and trinkets... Because every other thing has gone wrong... or was a bad idea... or is in endless limbo... or on vacation. Oh, BTW... We are in the biggest Alt bull market in 12 months... You gotta be really special bad and illiquid and irrelevant to be tanking in Jun-Jul 2015.
