So a little background on this exchange listing business... I got a PM a couple days ago from someone saying they could list us on Bleutrade for a fee. After some back and forth, I sent him §5000 and then we were listed! He is also the same person who got us listed on Cryptex. So that worked out. Smiley He is a fan of SolarCoin and says he can get us listed on Cryptsy too, so I figured I should bring the rest of you in on the discussion at this point. He seems a decent dude, as much as anyone can determine the decency of people in cryptoland, and he will take SLR as payment for services. So, if you guys think being on Cryptsy is a good idea and you think this guy can help, here is his SLR address to accept donations: 8TuUKtuDGd2netM7DCTE52xKptuxLsXJVe (You can see my payment there for the Bleutrade listing too).

I'll ask if he wants to post here directly to introduce himself. Keep in mind, I can't make him do that if he doesn't want to. Wink He goes by DigitalCurrencyConsultant.

Now I'm off to pack for a conference, will be back Friday. I'll stay up to speed with my phone though. I need something to do to keep from falling asleep through painfully boring property tax related presentations...  Roll Eyes

Yes would defiantly be willing to donate to get onto Cryptsy, but call me a little skeptical but would love to hear direct from DigitalCurrencyConsultant to enlighten us on how he can do this.

Nick !

When solarpower generators get their solarcoins

Are they having a tax about solarcoins?

It is based on own nation?

Great question. I am not a tax specialist or authority. My suggestion is that each grant recipient should abide by the regulations and tax codes of their respective countries or regions.  SolarCoin works to be transparent about grants so that the community can vet the granting process. The SolarCoin grant is likely to be considered a form of income in many regions or countries.

In terms of mining, I also suggest each person confer with their own tax specialist or accountant.

Nick

Solarcoin (§ SLR) are like airmiles. Each 1 Mhw generated gets you §1 free. Solarcoins can purchase what others will trade: USD,BTC, Soy candles..etc.

Thanks.

I will buy small solargenerator.

Here is cold winter in korea. So I will buy it spring.

I hope solarcoin will do a great thing to keep nature.

I want to join that !

Many people want to small amount of coins.. (like bitcoin or darkcoin)

But coin specialist said that "At least 10 billion amount of total coins is needed for using wolrd wild."

I agree that.. ( Many people think large amount means lower and lower price..! But real value is comig from "money investment and number of holding people)

I want to pump the price rapidly. But..   It's not good for coins. HaHa

I keep support this coin longterm.

When.. the price of solarcoin cross over 30dollar..

It's is really using world widly..!

Keep going !

Thanks for foundation and dev team !

Anyone knows when wallet ready?

We are waiting on our developer for the code.  He is working diligently.  As soon as we have something that compiles and passes basic tests there will be news. We are all very anxious for this to happen as it will reduce the inflation rate from a current 1,440/day which works out to about 500,000/yr / 33,500,000 = 1.5% to 1% and likely less as all coins will unlikely be staked.

After POS is in place more activity will be done to pursue more solar generators to participate. Growing the community of holders is what will increase the economic utility (usefulness) of the coin.

There is discussion about a rewards mechanism for referalls.  A calculator to convert nameplate capacity to claimable SLR will be put on the home page to make it easier for participants to estimate current and likely future claims.

For interest sake here is a list of the worlds largest solar energy generators http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_photovoltaic_power_stations

A 1 MW facility would generate 1,314/yr. So an initial claim back to Jan 1, 2010 for large farms is economically interesting.  Each KW installed on a roof is worth 1.314/yr based on the 15% calculations http://solarcoin.org/easier-way-for-solar-energy-generators-to-claim-%C2%A7-solarcoins/

I think a roadmap of what is after changeover to PoS would help stir up the community.  Just a suggestion, as many other coins have posted roadmaps of what to expect, which will also help encourage people to support the initiative.

Not that you have to be specific as in dates, but what can be expected going forward in a healthy timeline.

As stated in prior posts, we are currently focused on the transition from POW to POS and the delivery of new wallets.
Afterwards, the following efforts will be framed and posted to the community for comment:

1) Securing the large generator pool
2) Automating the granting method based on the 15% Nameplate Capacity multiple
3) Global marketing effort to increase the number of registered generators to receive SLR
4) Appropriate governance structure to effectively manage the generator and genesis pools from a long term perspective
