Been a few pool restarts today.
Some of them (all the last few) should have actually just sent a reconnect to your cgminer, but during the problems when the pool has hung a few times much earlier, you'll have failed over to your backups.

Hopefully the current update that's running now is OK.

I've got an annoying iPad that'll wake me up if something goes wrong tonight when I'm asleep and the pool doesn't manage to restart itself
... to solve last night's problem of a lockup that wasn't detected - that's related to the code change that puts the green Aki eyes on the top left of the web page.

 Jan 27th is my birthday  so I am sure that will will maintain amazing hotness and pool uptime for the Next 48 hours.

Why 48 hours ? well Jan 27th ends in just under 48 hours  Just  a bit west of Honolulu,  HI.

So 6 blocks in 47-48 hours coming right up.

Edit - - - -  If the Price stays stable at $280 at the exchanges I am going to turn on 1w/GH hardware again.  I suspect allot of people will be doing the same. 

It would behove those who had their equipment off [for whatever reason] to wait until after the difficulty change before doing so.

As of now we're looking at a 6.3% decrease in difficulty in about 27 hours.

Everyone using ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com please double check your apikey. When you try to save it now it will check it for you, if it is bad it won't save it and you will get an error message.

I see a couple that are wrong and several that are blank, no apikey or a bad one and no graphs.

Wrong apikeys have been removed, there are 8 users with no apikey, 3 of which have no username either.

Make sure you check to box to get an email when we find a block, saves having to check constantly all day like I usually do. Also make sure you use a valid email address when you sign up. (I will make it so you change your email address soon.)

Yeah out worst before today was 2014-12-03 08:42:26+00 block #27 525.39% that's a CDF of ~0.99475

First since the change over to 5N (500% Network diff)

Before that it was 1N (100% Network diff) so it happened a few times then.
The 5N change was from block 334106 (our block #33)

In the first 32 blocks we had 8 above 100% so those 8 didn't pay all shares in them.

Yeah I'm not sure what happened there - I'll check with ckolivas ...

I've updated the config for the smaller nonce1 needed for the tube.
Next time we restart ckpool it will work.

However, we won't be restarting it very soon due to hoping the problems are solved and seeing how long it lasts without a failure.
After yesterday's ups and downs, but no blocks during any of that , we'll avoid restarting ckpool for a while unless some more problems are found.
