Just another one and it will be over 100% monthly stats! My prediction is 3 more this month with at least one being 16BTC+. Why not wish for amazing luck, right!

Man, thanks Kano for the ramp up/ramp down time. PG&E (the power company here in CA) had an outage where my mine is, and I was offline for almost a day. Luckily I still got almost a full reward for the block this morning.
That's what we keep trying to explain to the newer folks. It's made a significant difference for many of us at different times, for different reasons. Mine on...

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question..
But i have been mining on CK Pool for a few months now..
I'm new to mining and finally will have a decent setup; with two S9's, 1 S3, 1S4, and a bunch of USB Miners (Butterfly Labs, Nano, BitFury, Erupters, etc.)
And I will have another two S9's by the weekend.. So I will be moving from about 33 th/s to 60 th/s..
I am just confused what the difference is between CK Pools and Kano Pools...
People seem to always group them together.. But what is the difference. I am signed up with Kano.is, but am not sure how to move my BTC Wallet Username; which I have been building up all my time on, to the username at Kano.
I noticed that they are different links - ckpool
example - KANO: stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333
example - CK POOL: stratum+tcp://pool.ckpool.org:3333
Can someone please just tell me what the difference is, or if they are really just the same..
Thank you so much,
- Michael

Different pools, different operators, just use the same mining address and the rewards will go there no matter where they originate!

Thanks for the block Canaan! Just wish they'd come a little faster, but I am not really complaining This one was a nice large one, not a 16 but still pretty good. I am glad I mine a little Ethereum on the side. Managed to get 30 ounces of Silver with my measly 250Mhz of Ethereum mining that just chugs along! That's my new plan since I found a website that you can purchase Silver/Gold/Platinum/Palladium with most popular digital currencies. BTC, ETH, LTC etcetera. When I get enough and they are high, buy physical metals!

Hi again. So I finally have the Kano api connected in to minergain and am gathering worker stats every 5 minutes for a couple people. I am also gathering hash rate and shares for the site every minute. I am hoping to estimate payouts at some point in the near future but I have some questions about the stats...
I know that I see many of these stats on my s9 miner's dashboard too but am kindof green on all this. So if anyone can help me understand the following: lastshareacc (cumulative shares accepted?), diffacc (cumulative diff accepted?), diffinv (diff invalids?), shareacc (cumulative accepted shares?) and active_diffacc. Should I be logging all of these per miner or are there just a couple that are actually part of the final reward calculation? I am saving the hash rate for every 5 minute interval since it can change over time. Are the rest of these incrementing over time (reset when a block is found)? Sorry to be stupid on this and I am sure I could do a bunch of research - but I suspect the people here know this right off the top of your head.
If you prefer to ignore this, I understand since it is probably not that important to the masses...

Okay... I'm an idiot.. I thought because of the name in Block-chain; I was on the same pool. Is it worth me switching here if I have less than 5 th/s or should I just wait until my S9's come in... I just read that it takes a few days to get "In the Money.." and probably a lot longer with my TH/S below 5... Apparently CK Pool hasn't found a block since the end of August - so I feel stupid for thinking they were the same - and getting excited with Kano finds a block - smh.. My S9's arrive in a day or two.. Is it better for me to switch to Kano now... or wait until I have a much higher TH/s? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Like does anyone here ever use CKPool? Any Benefits to using Kano or Ck? I just want to make sure I know the difference and why this one is so much more popular. Thanks so much, - Mike

5THs is plenty to stay above the dreaded dust level, so I'd say come in and join the fray! I point pretty much all my hash here, with some sent to a couple other pools now and again, but this is my first and main pool since day one. I even got to meet kano-san one day when he was traveling through L.A., a right fine bloke who knows this stuff inside and out. Mine on bud!

The JP node has been losing network connection on and off over the last few hours. The provider says there's a DDoS going at their servers.
The most annoying part about it is that I'm in Tokyo and still losing connection directly to it/can't connect to it.
As usual, you should have a backup to one of the other nodes - and from Japan that would probably be best to use stratum.kano.is as the backup.

I get my 4 S9's in early December. I have learned so much just by following this thread and watching the website. Kano Pool is the lowest fee pool available run by a Bitcoin Mining Professional. Kano - san, by all accounts, is an honest, technically proficient operator of the best decentralized Bitcoin Mining Pool on the planet. Point your hashrate here, you will not be disappointed. Tim

They seem to think it is now resolved - and the last disconnect message I got was about 20mins ago so hopefully all OK again now at the JP node.

Is there anything in the works to get the pool named in the blockchain.info block explorer?
I'm pretty sure I updated their git once before ... but no idea what it shows now since I avoid blockchain.info like the plague - they say stupid stuff about pools (if a pool gets an orphan, they say the pool address is a double spend, and they say our payout transactions are too big which is of course wrong )

I am in the midwest USA and this is the line up I have for my miners for kano pool addresses.
Pool 1 stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:3333
Pool 2 stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333
Pool 3 stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.space:3333
Seems to work pretty well from the Midwest USA.
The nya node has a lower ping value than the .is and .space from the Midwest USA. The .is is the main fall back and .space is an emergency fall back.
Pretty much the recommendations on the front page of the bitcoin kano pool forum other than the nya node not specifically mentioned. Guessing nya stands for New York America or something like that.

New Canaan Avalon 741 heading my way from MinerWarez, should be here on 12/2 per fedex notice. 2 new power supplies arriving from the great underground empire sometime in the next week or so. another 7.5 T HASH heading kano pool way soon. bitcoin over $10k, wow, who would of thunk it?

Dear Kano, hope you are doing well in Japan. I would like to ask you to include this transaction into the next block. 2d73dfb6b98f4dcd066134081a670cda09304b268f0a5d7ca451ed8ed6e7d940 It is stuck since 4 weeks ago. Thanks in advance,

I know, it mind boggling how high it's gotten since the old days! I sold 1 coin last night just so I could say I exchanged 1 BTC for $10,000 USD...you don't get to say that everyday.
