Luck is Luck. Two blocks >300% sucks but the name of the game is the same, it all washes out in the end. Mine On With Kano-San!! Come on BLOCK!!!

BTW, is there a way to calculate the difficulty of the last block found by the pool based on the data provided by the API?
No, the API's aim is to provide current data - it does name the last pool and network block, but to be able to calculate other current information since either of those.
The web site shows history.
Got it.
Thanks!!!

2 day ago the first was yellow.

They're to do with KDB staying in sync with the pool front end and the pool front end keeping up with the work it has to do.

Sometimes you'll see a yellow "Soul Eater" but they are usually all green "Aki's eye"
If you see all 3 red "Darth Vader" then you know something is wrong or KDB is down/rebooting.

Check the shift graph for the worker at least over a period of hours or better a day or two.
The short term (less than a few hours) hash rate will vary a lot - also the miner may be averaging the last 2.5 days and if the miner has recently dropped it's hash rate the average could be high.

If the pool is averaging different to the miner over the long term then the miner isn't reporting the hash rate correctly or isn't staying connected.
The pool hash rate is based on the shares accepted, so if the miner has trouble counting, you may see a difference Smiley

I can't see anything wrong with your miner from the stats page. It looks like its just variance - the chips are running at the right clock speed and there's the correct number of chips detected.

Thanks Kano, thanks wavelengthsf

it’s definitely down, I’ve a had a few fails with this miner recently and carried out a full reset and reboot at the weekend.
Since then it’s been down from an average of 10.8t/h

When I restart or reboot it seems to take an age to get the upload frequency data on cg miner and the 3rd board took longest to connect.

That’s also the board that occasionally shows a 0 reading but has in the past been fine after a reboot.

Do you think it may be a duff board. Unit is only a feb issue miner.

Probably best to ask in the Mining Support or WhatsMiner threads - you'll get more help there, and its definitely not a Kano Pool issue.

So I have 10k to buy 10 S9i but I can only buy 2 per month because here in amazing Greece we still have capital controls since 2015 and I can only send 2k per month abroad. And when I am trying to explain to my fellow greeks why bitcoin is the future they are defending the fiat system as more reliable, wtf? The banks are dectating how much of your money you can spend every month and how you can spend it you ignorant fools.WTF?REALLY

I guess you are not using BTC to buy these machines...they would not have any control over that.

Soooo i decided to respond and shed a little bit of light on the whole “restart” controversy. What people need to understand with absolute random probability is that literally anything can happen. Think of it as a roulette wheel. Is hitting black 30 times in a row likely? No. Is it possible? Absolutely. But you wouldnt blame the wheel for being broken. You wouldnt bet your life on red the next spin because “it hasnt hit in so long, its due to hit!”. Thats the gamblers fallocy. Finding blocks is literally luck of the draw, and with a small-medium sized pool the luck deviation is far greater, hell, you technically could mine solo with a single S9 and hit a block but your odds are unbelievably miniscule. The pool is counting shares, the invalids are extremely low. Restarting the pool will NOT make us luckier. Sit tight, trust the luck, and let it even out in the long run.

Keep calm, Mine on brethrens  Grin BTC

Its my first month in mining,My first 10 T9+ and 1 M3X arrived last month but it took me 5 months to send all the money to coinbase and convert them to btc to buy the miners, hopefully now with the mining and the 2k limit from the bank I  will be able to buy 4 per month

I don’t if this is a stupid question or not. But why’s the difference between the older S9 and the S9i they just released? Heard it’s possible as bitmain is moving out of China that they are selling their S9 as new and hence the s9i, any truth to this ?

They have batches of 13, 13.5, and 14TH S9’s but that’s the only difference I know between them.

Edit: ohhh you said S9i.... I have no clue the difference.

A lot of speculation on a new Antminer on the way so could be cleaning house... Talk of an S11 on the way for quite sometime now.

A few watt differences in more efficient as they use less wattage/miner than the S9s.

Antminer S9 14 TH/s = 1340 Watts

Antminer S9i 14 TH/s = 1320 Watts

Antminer S9 13.5 TH/s = 1320 Watts

Antminer S9i 13.5 TH/s = 1310 Watts

Antminer S9 13 TH/s = 1300 Watts

Antminer S9i 13 TH/s = 1290 Watts

Could be a way not to piss many people off who just paid a lot more a few weeks ago for the same miners - who knows.
