Hey Guys!
Just wanted to introduce myself to the thread. I'm a relative newbie to mining bitcoin, but got four S9's in this week and have them hooked up and mining in the pool. Not a big player yet but trying to do my part!! Hoping to get a total of 16 by the end of the year.
Happy Mining! Bring on the Blocks!

4 s9's is no small amount. I have 2 and an s7 and another s7 I can't find power + ethernet to run. But I have 3 s5's with silent PC fans that hash away for a few extra TH.

Is there a reason all blocks seem to have a limit of ~988kb while almost all other blocks being mined are around ~998kb. 10kb isn't really significant, just curious.

I call it a code 'safety' margin. It's a (as it says on the opening post) 988,888 limit I use on the bitcoind. The block change is 88,888 and the rest of the work is 988,888.

I have joined this pool 5 days ago. it seems the transactions fees are high or probably my calculations/expectations are incorrect.
ie. a payment of 0.00634112 (pool's page) is received as 0.00297679 which is less than half and I do not think it all went as transaction fees which should be 0.0002 if I am not mistaken. ans this is the case with all payments. Any clarifications please.

The only fee is 0.9% of the total block reward, thus I calculate everyone's reward based on 99.1% of the block reward - which is the amount shown on the rewards page. There are NO transaction fees receiving payouts from the pool. If you are not seeing the numbers matching what it says on the Rewards page, then you are either not looking in the right place, or are looking for payouts not yet sent or confirmed. Read the Help->Payouts page: https://kano.is/index.php?k=payoutIf you pay fees to spend you BTC after you get it from the pool, then that's up to you how much they are and how you spend your BTC

So we seem to have a battle for first place, at the top of the hash rate list, between cobramining and blockmines! I think blockmines might take the lead in the next few days (or sooner)

Great job everyone ! I'm just a small miner and I have trouble keeping my small hasrate constant (S7 slowly drops after a few days... and 1 S5 just stops mining until physically restarted) but I hang on I still have 4xS3+ and 2 S5 gathering dust, I will try to add them at some point but they need to be "hidden" so I can host them in a datacenter :p So I'm looking for an empty 4U chassis to put them in a rack. I'm a relatively small miner also. Certainly not even close to 1PH! LOL I was "blasting out" ~55TH with four S9's and an S7 F1 (one fan). But as of yesterday that number has decreased to three and two-thirds S9's as another hash board has died. Additionally, today is HOT! Mid 80's F (hottest day of the year so far). So I have the freq. of all my S9's miners turned down to 525MHz and the S7 freq. set to 625MHz as it has very little ventilation. ( But the temps are good.) The S9 chip temps are all running in the low to mid 90'sC. Better to be safe than sorry and perhaps make the miners last a bit longer. Yesterday, one S9 miner shut down because of high temp. Not sure if the high temp killed the hash board or the hash board failure caused the high temp. Anyway I had to rush home from work to kill the power to the shut-down miner. I was alerted to the problem by logging in to my Kano Pool account at work and seeing one miner with 0 hash. Anyway, my hash on Kano Pool now is three and two-thirds S9's and a single S7 for a whopping ~45-46TH - at least until the sun goes down and it cools off some. Then I shall jump back to 600MHz which will give me ~ 50-52TH. Good luck all. Let's crack those blocks!!! Mine on!!.... And... COMEONBLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! Wow that had to get pretty hot if it caused the s9 to shut down from over heat protection. Bitmain claims the s9s overheat protection kicks in at 125C on the chip 2 temps compared to only 80c on the s7s So if that is the case that the s9s can go that high of a temp before shutting down it would have to be pretty ripping hot.

Use PM for payout address, or username here or PM. It's easiest to simply look on blocktrail with your payout address e.g. https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/address/1xxxxxxxxxxxx/transactionsThat will show them correctly. If your wallet isn't showing the same then there's, of course, an issue with your wallet.

In fact I don't recall every paying any fees to receive payments in my coinbase wallet and even my armory wallet never have any fees to receive.

How does someone like me go from having a few old miners (S4,S5,S7) to have PH's worth of mining like cobramining or blockmines? fascinating!
