Even so, as net diff rises so will total shares (and at some future point 2,313,251,445,387 will be < 100%)

we are almost certain to beat the share high one day in the future.

We may never get to .999 cdf again  it is only supposed to happen 1 time every 1000 blocks  .  I think we did it 3 times  one of them no longer shows up.

So we are 3 for 1880 and should be 3 for 3000.

So going 2120 in a row before it happens would get us to 4 for 4000  which would be "normal" luck for a terrible luck block occurrence.

And nice 3 for today.

Is there any update on this and the 'accounting' functionality you mentioned?  As a suggestion, if you do get around to it, can you setup a "minimum sweep" threshold?  What I mean by this is once the dust rewards accumulate to a certain minimum level then this is paid out.  If this was set as a min for the pool and then also could be adjust to be the pool minimum or higher I think it would be ideal.

Well, it will probably be a value limit and a time limit, like a few months - and anyone who doesn't reach the tiny amount in a few months ... well I'll probably close them down or do some such.
My main aim is to not have any owed bitcoin sitting in the pool wallet for eternity ... or even for months.

Code itself is still moving forward, albeit a bit slowly, but things are happening, though I've not got to accounting yet.
Pool hash rate is climbing so it would seem that what I've been spending most of my time on has been working ok so far ... lets see what happens next

And totally aside: that fact that we didn't miss a day, even with a > 400% block, was pretty awesome IMO

It doesn't see too many blocks originate there - that's it's 3rd block, all 3 this month and last month, even though it's the longest running still active mining node (1 year), but it does it's job well also.
It's the one outside China that's also critical if ever the relay has problems, since it's closest to China and best connected to places in China.

As per some news sources there's a large number of unconfirmed bitcoin transactions, close to 200,000 of them. This has caused users to increase transaction fees in order for their's to go thru. In the short term this is very good for us miners. How about in the long term? would it cause some negative impact?

Also on news today, coinbase.com has been offline all day. Does anyone have any idea is this is a technical issue, something related to the number of unconfirmed transactions or if it's something else?

Even with the yummy txn fees we're all getting as miners, it's still much lower than the normal everyday fiat banking system so it's still a win/win at this point.

I guess we all want Bitcoin to scale in one way or another. If this situation continues, people will just switch to altcoins.
Personally, I support BIP100 as the best way forward, but this is unlikely to reach as high hash rate support as BU or SegWit.

BU is widely supported, but a few recent bugs which have caused node crashes have resulted in some loss of community support. It is not perceived as a worthy alternative to Core client due to lack of testing/QA efforts.

SegWit is also widely supported, but there are trust issues as it's aggressively propagated by Blockstream, a private for-profit company with no good reputation among 50% of community. While they maintain Core client and develop SegWit, we still have no idea why the company was established and how it intends to make money for their investors. They also censor discussions and push their agenda too aggressively. They are not perceived as collaborative and do not support bigger blocks.

Thank you. I saw that posting but that was this morning (in my timezone), it's now almost 10 hours later and the site is still down, and the app is also down even if they say it's up. (the app opens but to a blank page). In my day job If I had a 10 hour system-wide outage on a stabilized system (not a new one) would be the first in 17 years of operations and after all the redundancy in place I would probably be looking for a job once I got it up and running again. Hopefully they will post something else because "A fix is being implemented" doesn't cut it after so many hours offline.

Eagerly awaiting as well.  I know I'm strange... I'm just an efficiency nut - and every last extra KB of TX space freed up is more income for us

I would guess something like any balances over say .25 or 0.5 btc are paid in next block, and any matured balances over dust are paid once a week in first block found after say sat morning at 12:01am (weekends tend to have less transaction volume and lower TX fees)  would work.  

If you really want to get crazy with the efficiency you could say large once-weekly payouts are to be included in the first block where they would only be displacing transactions that are paying say 40% less than the average TX fee over the last 7 days.  That way if by some fluke there are no transactions for an hour and the first block after 12:01 sat would be a monster in fees, the system would hold the payments for a block that was found at a more inopportune time and had much lower paying transactions.

Seems like they shut me up. Site is up now, although it's working a bit weird in some areas.
