I am using v1.1.2.6-g32a928e. Under win7 and it crashes most of the time. Actually locks up. This is only when importing checks.

man, you need use version 1126-6
And you need faster import Cheque than others, i suggest you make a new wallet.dat file.

Backup your current wallet.dat file, make a new(empt) wallet.dat file.
By this way, wallet app will fast to import Cheque.

I think these small amounts of Reward Coins may not effect the price of VPN.  But the great features of VPN Wallet can put it's Price at higher levels.

The it is simpler to receive a coin, the price is less it. And developer is right, i think most people using VPNcoin just to get free coins and sell them fast.

You should ONLY send rewards to addresses that have and hold a minimum fixed amount of (let's say) 50K VPN.

This way the ones that want to come in for the quick free money to dump will have to purchase 50K VPNs first, so they will think about it twice if what they want is to dump the free coins.
On the other hand serious newcomers will consider it an investment that will keep generating new coins for them - both by POS and with the rewards.
The ones who were dumping all this time will probably move to something else,
and you are left with the ones that hold.

Of course the price of the coins will go up as there will be demand for it, and not so much dumping.

Also, this is just a suggestion and I am sure there is probably a much better way to do it.

i think high interest will decrease the value of the coin and kill the coin too

No, I didn't mean it like that, but there are many coins here to be distributed, so I meant to say that if people will either mine or stake them, they won't at least dump them, as these cheques and other rewards are giving them completely free monies and that, they are already killing it... I can understand that here, we are giving first priority to technology and features, but I think that the value of the coin must also not be underestimated... Also, it was just a suggestion and not what I meant, I already wrote in that the final decision will be made by the dev himself... At least we should go for either PoW or PoS, not with higher %s, but better rewards, so that the coins will also get distributed in this way, and there won't be any more dumps...

I just shared an idea that stroke in to my mind, it's the dev and community to decide...

And what about the distribution? Can you go for PoW or PoS? It would be just great as people won't be able to get coins without their miners' work, and so they won't dump all in all... PoS with some bigger time limits could lead this coin get a stable value, so as PoW...

The real question is: why so few people see any value in vpncoin/BitNet?  The answer is: it's not usable enough at this moment. This must be changed.
