Recently i fixed the Linux wallet for vpncoin:

$ git clone https://github.com/Bit-Net/VpnCoin
$ cd ~/VpnCoin/src
$ make -f makefile.unix
$ strip --strip-unneeded vpncoind
$ ./vpncoind -daemon

There are some hickups....one confirmed this works with the latest edits in net.h a few days ago. But me for instance had to add some files into the src/leveldb of the VpnCoin folder

libleveldb.a
libmemenv.a

I took them both from the litecoin source which you can get from

github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin.git

What's missing for the QT/IRC to work on Linux?  On Slack @Bitnet mentioned something about AES encryption, and being a Windows programmer, but how can AES encryption be a showstopper when it's included in OpenSSL?

from the source code ? far too much Smiley
there's nothing included in the git as far as a qt is concerned ..

(well nothing might be a little exageration, but not by much)

// i guess any competent linux programmer would have to work with bitnet to get it all up to speed.

Is the free distribution still on?
And if it is, how does one participate?

Many thanks  Cheesy
