So I couldn't tell from the posts, is it now safe to stake with greater than 1 coin? i'm seeing a lot of stakes go through with https://chainz.cryptoid.info/seed/#. Are they on the correct blockchain now? I tried the getblock command cryptzo posted earlier and it checked out so I should be synced, and i'm on the same block count as cryptoid.

If you did delete it, then go back and restore it from your recycle bin.

I've been staking on v. 5 for several hours and it seems to be working fine. My rewards may be a bit on the low side but they seem reasonably close to what I would expect. You could also wait another 36 minutes. The fix goes into effect at that time.

MY understanding was that the v4 wallet was on a forked blockchain, and that everyone was supposed to get v5? is that correct?

Pretty much the last thing Cryptzo (the dev) said was that Bittrex were going with v1.0.5 and so should everyone else because v1.0.5 creates a new fork which the older versions wont sync with. There is also the fix in 1.0.5 which kicks in at 5am (80min after this post), which fixes stakes over 1SEED rewarding for the proper amount. Its maybe too late now really to decide whether you wanted to lock your coins and wait for 5am, I would say just make another backup of your wallet.dat, make sure you are running 1.0.5 and check the Help->Site Status on Bittrex to ensure you are on a similar block total to them (11738 at this moment). If all that checks out then sit back and hope....
If you have been sitting on the 1.0.4 client then you will be on the wrong fork, and will lose any stake rewards your wallet "mined" after 1.0.5 was released, however the stake age on your coins will also have been reset, so you should get them back in the next few hours.

Basically what happens on the wrong fork never existed when your dealing with your staked coins. Your coins will still be there, still have the same weight/age as they would have otherwise, but will just still need to stake. I guess I'll just wait for the final countdown, better to wait an hour than risk unlocking my wallet.
