last block, which p2pool found: Block 246294 (2013-07-13 03:21:31)
this pool ist to small

It's small, but it's the best viable solution I found besides solo-mining. Is there any reason to not use it, besides variance?

you are the only one , who is mining with this pool. its the same as you do solomining. but solomining brings 2% more revenues plus fees

Why? In P2Pool fees are shared. And that 2% where does it come from?

p2pool has no 1,4 THs. I dont see this pool on http://bitcoinwatch.com/

the 2% is the mining fee of this pool, eligius  or solomining has 0% fee

even with 1,3 THs , this pool is to small. it pays out every two or three days , so you loose 2 days revenues for reinvestments

Sounds like you need to learn more about mining before you try making this argument. Also, p2pool has an optional donation setting, not a fee.

There are times when blocks are found more than once a day.

I will do some math and then choose the option that gives the best revenue for the benefit of everyone. Variance should not scare anybody. ;-)

if  you have 2 THs and the pool have 1 THs without you , thats make no sense, than you better do solomining

Of course, when there will be enough power to solve (on average) 1 block/day, it will be time to go solo.

I am mining with 50BTC.com with my 2 GH/s and I get 0.04 BTC per day. So with 250 GH/s you can get 5 BTC a day, that means all 5 days one block, if you do solomining. That means also, it can happen, if you are solo-mining for 50 days, you dont find any block , if you have bad luck. And then, the forum is to small ;-)

I made some tests on P2Pool and now it seems it's performing quite well. I am going to install a production server and move the hashing power there.

That's great to hear! How much of hashrate are you going to move there?

If it keeps working well, I am planning to move the entire farm on it.

Your deposit will become active between the end of this week and the next.

However I ask to the others to be patient, because I can't handle mass-requests... all accounts will become active as soon as possible!

Of course, when there will be enough power to solve (on average) 1 block/day, it will be time to go solo.

Would it be possible to consider that when/if you go solo that you consider running your own pool?  I'd think some/many pyramining users who also mine on their own would consider mining on the pool that also supports their pyramining accounts, in full spirit of the pyramining model of business they could link their "pool" account to a "pyramining" account to get a boost based on the number of MH/s or GH/s they mine with and even have the option to directly ingest their earnings into their pyramining account, otherwise they cash out to wherever they want.

Just something to consider :-)
