I just feel its safer having it on my mac rather than online.  If nobody can offer a solution I might consider it but as I said, I would prefer a wallet on my mac.  Thanks for all your help.  Any other suggestions would be welcome.

As someone that also uses Macs, along with PCs, the online wallet is totally safe if you need it temporarily, as safe as your PC really, and if your PC is compromised any wallet is at risk. There are wallet upgrades coming, for Mac as well, and I have been testing the mac version. What I do know is that you need all your Java up to date to run full wallets, and you need to be on the latest OSX version.

Hi pharesim,

can you please add the total node count to the message? With the new distribution method the total amount of distributed HZ per day is  difficult to determine.

The fee of a transaction is equal to the number of nodes it is paid for.

not always:

Hi cbkr,
when we can expect the missing payments? For the most node owners the node bounties for 3 days missing (see previous post, red values).

Agreed. Getting a tad annoying but then again doesn't seem much else to talk about at the minute.

Not a problem, if someone of the devs cares about it.

Two good suggestions in there.

What about:

(b) a new subforum "running a node"
 in /section/using-horizon/ https://horizonplatform.io/section/using-horizon
(similiar to for /section/using-horizon/forging-pools/ ).

e.g. https://horizonplatform.io/section/using-horizon/hallmarked-nodes
or more general, https://horizonplatform.io/section/using-horizon/nodes

Yes, it could also be only a simple single topic in /section/horizon-development/bounties-and-give-aways/
- but if there were a whole subforum about running nodes, all related questions (technical, financial, ...) could end up in one place.

(a) elect a node bounty caretaker, who is
* himself knowledgeable,
* and who is let in on ...
** when on of the known problems appear
*** what to do to solve it,
*** or who to contact.

* and who communicates with the node owners when they have questions.

AltFolio = Altcoin Portfolio solution || AAsset = crowdfunding, dividends paying = profit sharing Assets on NXT || Newbium great new platform || AssetGraphs = novel GUI to assets & shareholders (won nxthacks2015!) || ABEE = Block Explorer Extension for ETH clones, live on SOIL || Advice = Consulting || assetparser.py and shareholders.py - tools for NXT/HZ asset buyers & issuers || bamm.py || PeerCrawler || PGP || Texts || Github e.g. ChainCountDown, ethjsre |||| /give/ GiveBackLicense /give/ |||| Looking for an affordable crypto advertisement service with adspaces on crypto-attractive websites, contact me, thx.

I would say just leave it as it is, it bumps the thread. Just realize that not everyone runs nodes or can help with it. (Besides, if someone has problems they are going to post wherever they want...)

All who really want to find the news will find it.
There's twitter accounts of the team members and Horizon has an account.
Or go to Horizon platform.

But small extra news is here to discover, hidden between nodemessages. But I think this thread is mainly to assist users which is a good thing.

Question to the community: HZ 4.0 is complete, and we have 5.0 on test net.  Both updates would require hard forks, and we would like to keep these forks to a minimum, so we are asking the community if we should release 4.0 and go through a hard fork, or wait another month and have 1 hard fork for 5.0 which will introduce the voting and monetary features, as well as a slew of others.

The NFD swap is over.

With a total of 3.01B NFD sent to the swap address, 120M HZ (12% of the total supply) have been distributed to the former NFD community. The received NFD were sent to the genesis address.

Is it just me, or are the links on page 1 messed up?

It is not just you, I was actually working on some concepts for infographics and noticed it wasn't working right. (for a pro to do, just looking at the key ideas to be in it...)

Not sure what the issue is right now, but Nick and the team have been informed. I wasn't that crazy about the ANN thread myself and I think we need it redone from scratch anyway. Of course we need the old/current back up as soon as possible, but, I guess that is in process.

I consider that create a new thread for the node bounty sound logic because peoples talk about payments all time, maybe it can be affecting a few prices because they  are complaining all time about payments delayed or issues, but otherwise Hz platform work like a charm, and is better talk about it or another stuff. So if anyone have a doubt about payments or nodes it can be kindly redirected by a link.

Ok, I'll be silent for a while and watch the rising prices.
Of course, someone could also take care of the few remaining missing payments, with hopefully the same result.

I agree HZ platform core functionality appears quite solid and while payments to my node have appeared pretty-much like clock-work can imagine the frustration of missed payments. I also agree this ANN thread should be about Hz innovation and functionality and therefore would welcome more interaction in the HZ forums perhaps as altsheets suggested here relative to supporting node bounty issues
