Today, I had probably started my well-working 3.9.2 for the last time. But I ended up on my own fork *g* So ... upgrading. All looking goooood. About coding, and the HZ 5 API ...When I am coding tools that are using the HZ API, the wiki is useful, because it documents well the API calls. But as the HZ port is a bit behind the innovation brand front of NXT, I am wondering which version of the wiki. Until recently (HZ 3.9.2), the nearest analogous NXT version of the API was probably this one: http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/w/index.php?title=Nxt_API&oldid=29356 (~autumn 2014) Now, with HZ v5.3, I am wondering to which NXT version it corresponds. NXT1.5.15 (~August 2015)? Or which version is HZ5 based on? --> Then please answer, which older wiki version is a good resource to use as an API manual: This one perhaps? http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/w/index.php?title=The_Nxt_API&oldid=40071 (August 15th 2015). See all versionsThanks a lot! I would use this one http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/w/index.php?title=The_Nxt_API&oldid=40230if I'm not aware of the latest changes for 1.6.2

Can you post node checker online tool somewhere until you fix the website? I really need this tool to maintain nodes after upgrade.

... upgrading. All looking goooood. ...
Suggestion: Tiny improvement of layout --< make the "Messages" column a few pixels wider, so that it fits the RS address name without linebreak It is probably the CSS class "content-splitter-sidebar" or "list-group unselectable sidebar_context", or directly address "#messages_sidebar" For easier maintainability, it might make sense to create a /html/ui/css/horizon.css that contains all overrides of nxt css, and load that horizon.css last in /html/ui/index.html ?EDIT: quick'n'dirty patch: html/ui/html/pages/messages.html line 37 "width:270px" EDIT2: but then the scrollbar of the messages column stops working. ... Now, with HZ v5.3, I am wondering to which NXT version it corresponds. NXT1.5.15 (~August 2015)? Or which version is HZ5 based on? ... --> which older wiki version is a good resource to use as an API manual ...
I would use this one http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/w/index.php?title=The_Nxt_API&oldid=40230if I'm not aware of the latest changes for 1.6.2 Thanks a lot. Yes, that 40230 is the last one before 1.6.2 is mentioned for the first time. Very good. Thanks! Using that one from now on. So HZ5.3 ~ NXT 1.5.15. Thx. Good work!

I would agree with this, and see what can be done.

These asset tools are exactly what Horizon needs! Very nice! Thanks! What do you think Pizpie? What needs Horizon? Horizon has: - good concept, source (thanks to the NXT) - good Dev Team - right distribution - Home page - Bitcointalk Thread - Exchanges - real Project with Bitnation, Estonia What is still needed? What needs Horizon? - additional projects? - bigger cooperating community? - attention? - or only patience? I started two Polls

What needs Horizon? - additional projects? - bigger cooperating community? - attention? - or only patience? I started two Polls I think the project is on track, and progressing well with its goals of becoming a platform that is useful, with real world applications, and that we continue to see an increase in users and interest. Obviously additional projects, assets, and developments that are useful to the Horizon ecosystem are always going to be what we need. There is never a draw back from community interaction, but I think we are seeing an increase of that, and Horizon has had a core group of interest and collaborators for over a year. Of course we always see room for more growth and involvement. This was one of the core ideas for setting up the foundation. With distribution coming to an end shortly, we will see more attention with an increased focus on media exposure. We have a great story, amazing platform, a dedicated team and blossoming community. It's a narrative that is very easy to sell and get people interested in. You will see a wide array of useful, value adding assets coming to the public, and we will keep the core platform updated, as the NXT devs work on their new features. We are taking steps to move the project forward, to a point where we can push traffic to a complete product. Having a fiat gateway is a prime example of this transition, as this cuts out a lot of work for new users to crypto and to Horizon.

I have updated my excellent tutorial to v5When starting from scratch ... how to buy an asset on Horizon ... ? (version v05, updated December 9th, 2015) ... How to buy an asset on HorizonPlatform.io (HZ) ...
Steps 1-5 are general information that is necessary to understand and useful for every HZ newbie (not only for buying HZ assets). Steps 6-8 explain how exactly to buy shares of a HZ asset. Step-by-step process - and where to look up the results. --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1006327Happy about feedback. Hope it helps. Please tip me. Thx.

Thank You for your answer. I am an engineer. I can write software in C, C++, Perl maybe Java too I am ready to help something. I wrote for NXT community a script in perl - I think it is also usable for Horizon: https://nxtforum.org/voting-system/perl-script-to-reward-of-votingor visit my github page for a simple perl API-module (it is for NXT, but for Horizon also usable, I think): https://github.com/ifinta/NXTAbout my Horizon Polls: The first voters have already done their job - but I expects more activities and informations from Horizon community: please use our new platform and vote! Thank You! and

I'm only an amateur-dabbler at the moment; right now, I'm gathering up the background materials for assembling a "crash course" for myself in HTML/CSS/JavaScript. [ I did say I was far from being a pro. ] If you can puzzle out the Java source code for the server part, to the point where you can help good ol' MaWo, you'd be a godsend!

Myself I have started fresh, and even with a newly downloaded blockchain bootstrap file. Probably the easiest. Otherwise v5 from v3 would do a database upgrade and rescan on first start, which might take longer than downloading the whole bootstrap file. You can follow my excellent tutorial, step (1): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1006327As you already have an account, and coins, you don't have to do steps 2-5. HTH ;-)
