Like I said, most of you just link together random things based on when something happens and make up random BS stories to help perpetuate what you think is right. Have you ever heard of a confirmation bias?
Not random bs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M-PesaIn kenya you can pay a taxidriver with your mobile phone. In 2016 there was 7 million M-Pesa accounts. If you combine a service like M-pesa with a service like BlockPay, you have cash based on blockchain tech.. A year ago, you couldn't use ethereum or dash for anything useful. With blockpay you can use your dash or ethereum to buy stuff with your mobile phone..

You say 2.5% fee, the github say 1.7% fee, what's the real one ? Also, normal yiimp pool doesn't see any hashrate being sent ? Is it a bug or something (i get lbry being added to my pool wallet, but i don't see the hashrate curves nor the numbers like i do with ccminer 1.8.4)

Some pools doesn't do the switch. I will publish a fix soon.

Ah i see, weird stuff, when it switch to your zpool fee, the name of the miner appear in the stat of the wallet on yiimp, then the hashrate, but as soon as it reswitch onto the yiimp pool no more infos are seen, it's odd Now it seems after the switch i see all the infos, again, weird indeed, ah well as long as it mine, it'll do Also, to note, when i don't have any info on the yiimp pool, if i query the miner API sending a "pool" command, im seing myself correctly connected to the yiimp pool, is that a false positive and im still connected to yours?

In kenya being eaten by a sharknado, than paying the taxi driver with mpesa, makes more sense Read this: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/m-pesa-mobile-phones-are-transforming-the-lives-of-east-africans-a7590341.html14 million M-pesa accounts ... A decade on, there are now 10 countries using M-Pesa: As well as Kenya, it’s growing in Albania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ghana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Tanzania, India, and Romania. During December last year alone there were a 614 million individual transactions processed through M-Pesa… 529 transactions every second. Joseph says: “It’s a revolution that has empowered tens of millions of people in some of the poorest communities in the world to start and grow businesses and gain greater financial resilience.”

I understand that there are cases you are making, but you missed the point I was making, which is it's a third world continent with the GDP of one US state. No one really cares what goes on over there besides the people living there. It has literally ZERO influence on market trades besides maybe blood diamonds, which has little to nothing to do with this conversation. That aside, you can do everything you're talking about with BTC and still has nothing to do with the market that got pumped nor is it something that 'just' happened to trigger it.

If you had a m-dollar in the states based on blockchain tech in every store, would you use it instead of cash or plastic cards?
If you look on another link I posted there is a chinese company that makes this possible. You can pay with bitcoin dash or ethereum with your mobile phone instantly..
When the altcoins can be used for something else than pure speculation, the price rise..

Palit SJS, but depending on the silicon loterry it could be other way around. The Gigabyte one by far. It has better cooling system and more warranty.

To scale that 529/ sec, btc is currently struggling with 3.23 transactions/ sec. https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

Thats why Dash is bether. Masternodes. Instant verification. Coin mixing... Dash is able to process more transactions/ sec yes. Other than that, I don't know. Tor+mixing currently doesn't work at least in Denmark and Finland. Transaction works but anonymity is lost.

You can already pay with androidpay pretty much everywhere that and Mastercash (or something like that). Almost no one uses it. With cryptos you have to go through the whole exchange phase which no one wants to do. Cards are pretty much 'universal'. No one is going to switch to cryptos unless there is some sort of benefit and there isn't right now. And no, there isn't a link between 'features' like tangible items in real life and crypto adotpion. Another silly fallacy people are pedaling when they list it on their coin page, it doesn't have anything to do with adoption. Occasionally you get really big news bits that do correlate to uptics in the market, but that didn't happen recently. I need opinion: which card is generally better for mining, assuming I could buy them for same price: Palit GTX 1070 Super Jetstream or Gigabyte GTX 1070 XTREME GAMING
Palit SJS, but depending on the silicon loterry it could be other way around. The Gigabyte one by far. It has better cooling system and more warranty. Gigabyte fans are PoS, expect them to fail in 6-12 months or 15 if you run them really cool. Talked about that multiple times in this thread over the years. Cards themselves are great, but you should expect to send them in for warranty which takes about three weeks to get back.
