I had to setup a pool myself to mine machinecoin and bitcore. Once you do it the first time, it's quick to adapt to other coins.
i don't know how to do it, there is a guide or something around?

WHAT POOL SOFTWARE DID YOU USE? -- I have thought of that approach, but it seems difficult. --scryptr I modified ckpool, very quick and dirty :-D

It's a shame that asic's so much to the benefit of gpu on x11. A baikal does 150mhs, a gtx 1070 how much does it do? 15 mhs? Is there no way to increase performance? .

Not a big fan of how fast BTC is climbing. When it starts climbing this fast it's usually followed by a pretty epic dump that happens all within a hour or two. Everyone is sitting at their computer with the sell button on a hair trigger. Super fast climbing has never been good for BTC. It invites people who are just looking to make a quick buck at the expense of long term investment and stability.
When it dumps I'm thinking 1,200, but prepare your anuses, we may be going back to 1k.

I must say I have never felt this sad watching btc going up. Disgusting. Everyone is sitting at their computer with the sell button on a hair trigger.
Except that sell button doesn't work, when dumping starts every exchange lags so bad that it is impossible to trade. I highly recommend placing stop orders. Moving btc to exchange is going to be another thing, that already fucked network is going to be even slower. Blocks even more full, slow blocktimes, it can easily take hours before your deposit is ready. And when you try to sell all you can see is a cloudfare error page. After they have squeezed these shorts there are no buyers left but this can pump really high before that. As a miner, I am very interested what will happen to profitability. It can get better or worse, nothing surprises me anymore.

XCN is much better than BTC in terms of profits )) I still have some BTC but that is on exchange trailing sell order set. I am sad because what is going to happen is not going to be a good thing for cryptos in general. Traders are going get rich though.

I wasn't talking about the price, I was talking about the dumping that is bound to follow a big pump. Everyone is sitting at their computer with the sell button on a hair trigger.
Except that sell button doesn't work, when dumping starts every exchange lags so bad that it is impossible to trade. I highly recommend placing stop orders. Depends on your exchange. Poloniex tends to lag a lot during big trades, others are much better during high activity. Also way to take things way too literal as always.

No fiat exit in Poloniex, Kraken and Bitstamp are going to lag, maybe GDAX will work. We'll see...

You don't need to send it to your bank account to keep it from depreciating in value, you just need to unlink it from BTC, such as other alt coins. Coinbase for instance has a USD wallet. BTCE also has one. All you have to do is move it to your wallet or out of BTC and wait.

SP take a look at the BTX miner. If you can fix it up that'd be wonderful. Right now it crashes quite frequently with illegal memory access.

You don't need to send it to your bank account to keep it from depreciating in value Of course you don't, my last BTC will be sold to EUR and kept in Kraken wallet waiting for better times (=shorting with all the leverage I can find). Ok, some dust in Poloniex to play with. you just need to unlink it from BTC, such as other alt coins.
What would be your pic? ETH and XMR used to be safe haven's but I am not sure anymore, what will happen when that big dump comes. Will that money go to alts or fiat? Coinbase for instance has a USD wallet. BTCE also has one. All you have to do is move it to your wallet or out of BTC and wait.
My biggest crypto holdings are not in BTC and for sure not in (RUR) exchange. Nothing against BTC-E but I only use it to monitor LTC. Big BTC holders cannot use exchange as a wallet, they are the ones who need to send it to exchange to sell (ok, OFC too). But hey, this is pure speculation, BTC is going to $50,000 this year...not. To be somehow on topic, BTC is only +50% this year. There are nvidia coins that are +400-1000%...

Is the illegal memory access based on cpu? my ryzen 1700x crashes just about every min. but i5-4690k crashes about in about 7 hour intervals and my ryzen 1600 is 10 hours.
