Can anyone give a rundown on what happened with hashie? I'm trying to make sense of it. They're saying they were "hacked" but now it seems they're spending users funds to run some ARG, while still saying users will get their coins back? Though I think that AMHash buyers have all been able to transfer out with no issues, right?

(self.Bitcoin) submitted 21 minutes ago by hashiedotco I sold Josh Garza Hashie.co a few weeks ago. We agreed I would sign an NDA and not reveal that he was the new owner until he made a formal announcement on CryptoCoinsNews.com (which he also just purchased) or on Coin Telegraph (which he also now owns). I gave him the social media accounts including reddit account and just a few days ago he stopped responding to my messages and now it appears allowed someone to either hack the site or even worse, made it look like it was hacked. For what gain I am unsure. He claims to have a /r/bitcoin mod on payroll now and all communication takes place off reddit so as to not alert the other mods. We shall see how long until this is deleted. </snip>

Coinfire says they've been exchanging messages with the user trying to get any sort of proof but haven't got anything. And the submission has now been deleted.

So just a question, since it was mentioned there is little to no return on these types of investments, are people just investing to support the bitcoin mining project soley ?
No, there can be a return on investment (ROI) if you sell, difficulty doesn't increase a large amount, and/or price increases. No on here is buying AMHash because they want to support the network. They/we are buying because there is a good chance of ROI. In bitcoinland, mining has always been a tight investment. Based on buying at the time of IPO, when do people generally sell these investments ? After IPO or right before the launch of the next AMHash ? Sell before price drop negates accumulated gains. That's all. Your call. I sold mine over the last few days, anticipating tomorrow morning's difficulty increase and possible glut of sellers. HL liquidity has since turned to dust, so I'm pleased with my gains. Fear vs. greed If someone suddenly dropped say 5000 units (0.25% of the float) now the bid would be at .0011 or so. That´s how thin it is.

And another ~4000 puts you in the 0.0007 range. Like I said, dried up. Maybe it shores up again, maybe it doesn't. Regardless, I have profits in hand, and sleep well. Thank you AMHash for the cloud mining experience. I may play again some day

As an ASICMiner share holder I believed hashie.co was legit when AMHash said to purchase there.... now I've lost 5,000GH/s and I can't even create an account on amhash.com to transfer my hash rate. My solid trust in ASICMiner and crew is slipping.
UPDATE: today I was able to create an account at amhash.com

I just wanted to add that AMHash has successfully transferred my 20 GH to the AMHash site. Thanks! I assume the .006 btc divs I'd received through Hashie (and attempted to transfer to my wallet) are lost, though.

AMHASH paid out 49191 satoshi so far. That's 39.35% of original 125000 IPO price. 75809 satoshi need to be paid out to achive ROI. So, price 70k satoshi/share will allow to achieve ROI faster than IPO buyers. This propably will change in next week.

If you ask me, yes I own some shares. Selling now would give me some profit. But I think holding is better option. 100% ROI (and profit later) is more than possible with this asset.

If you're an AM shareholder then you would be used to purchasing direct or from Havelock. Why would you forego the regular channels to purchase from a total unknown?
