If it is possible to transfert factoid already I WTB at IPO price (for around 5 btc) if someone need to cash out some btc.

Transaction passing by escrow is compulsory.

PM me if interested
The IPO ended 5 months ago so you can't buy it at that price.
However you can buy it here https://www.dcxtx.com/OrderBook.aspx for 0.008 btc per FCT.
Very cheap.

What was the IPO price?

That said, I've seen many coins/assets drop below their IPO price.

Please, Example any IPOs.

For the minute. Are you realize that FACTOM project can be equally compared with ETH project? Are you realize the huge scale of innovations here? I think that you don't.

To campare Factoids with scamcoin's IPOs is a big failure. I think you are realizing this.

The first big IPO had ETHEREUM past year. FACTOM is the second big blockchain project in IPO history.

Viacoin
Crypty
GetGems

etc.

People are fickle. If they don't start seeing huge price jumps within weeks they start selling. This has nothing to do with the underlying technology or usefulness of the project. Technical superiority doesn't always win in the market place.

I guess no one will know the actual price till an actual exchange picks it up.

I'm extremely surprised none of the well-known exchanges have done so already.  The software works....

I would not say those would be considered blockchain 2.0 projects, like factom.

I was surprised to be first to market.  Our pricing for everything else goes and looks for the best price on the markets.  We had to scramble on pricing when we realized we were it.  That is why it is set up the way it is now.  After Factoids hit a few exchanges, our pricing will go to our usual system of checking the markets.

BTW
Our sell price just dropped to 0.0075 BTC

We buy and sell Factoids.
Also BTC, DOGE, DRK/DASH, FTC, LTC, NAV, NMC, NVC, NXT and PPC

It's not correct to compare those tiny projects with the top-notch blockchain 2.0 unique Factom project backing by big investors and independent company with top developers team on the board.

You guys conflating things that I didn't say.

I said, Coins do/will trade below their IPO. An IPO price is no magic bullet or bottom line support price. These are the markets you are talking about.. investors and speculators don't really care that this is a "top notch blockchain 2.0" project.

Even in the corporate world stocks lose value from IPO prices. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-09-14/many-of-the-companies-that-went-public-in-the-past-year-are-trading-below-their-offering-price

It's not unheard of and it does happen. Perhaps it won't for Factom, perhaps it will. Perhaps it won't for Etherium perhaps it will (it probably will.) I think it happened for Bitshares too, which people said could never happen.

Smart contracts are computer programs that can automatically execute the terms of a contract. Someday, these programs may replace lawyers and banks for handling certain common financial transactions.

Factom is a solution for managing data and keeping records.

Very different use cases.

Any ETA on the GUI? I don't plan on selling my factom, so I have no interest in using my factoids via command line.

How to make factoid transaction using windows cli?  Can someone make a manual on this?  And when factoid will be listed on poloniex or bittrex?

factom-cli is a commandline wallet

the labels I refer to below are only known locally.  locally you can use your address or label.  Others only use your address.  these are public addresses

To generate an address
this will generate a local factoid wallet address with the label bill (then bob)
factom-cli generateaddress fct bill
factom-cli generateaddress fct bob

this will generate a local entry credit wallet address with the label dan (and jane)
factom-cli generateaddress ec  dan
factom-cli generateaddress ec  jane

list addresses in this wallet (this also shows balances)
factom-cli getaddresses

Bill sends bob factoid
( I would suggest a batch file after you know what is going on, but feel free to run one line at a time.)
(The input is greater than the output because of the fee.  If your fee is too small, it will tell you on the submit)
(transactionLabel is the name of this transaction.  this allows all of the following lines to be attached to the same process and not confused with other ongoing transactions.  probably not a concern to you.  You can build multiple transactions at the same time if you wish.  just give them a different label)
(delete first just to make sure you have a clear transaction)

factom-cli deletetransaction transactionLabel
factom-cli newtransaction transactionLabel
factom-cli addinput transactionLabel bill 5.007999
factom-cli addoutput bob 5
factom-cli addfee transactionLabel
factom-cli sign transactionLabel
factom-cli submit transactionLabel

to create EntryCredits, the addoutput line changes to addecoutput.

We buy and sell Factoids.

Entry credits are currently 150 per factoid.  If you send 10 factoid and ask for 1 entry credit, you may get exactly that and the rest goes to fees. (my understanding)  be careful.

Also, send factoids to factoid addresses and entry credits to ec addresses.  Once you but Entry credits you are stuck with them.  If you do not plan on using them, do not buy them.

We buy and sell Factoids.

I asked shapeshift about FCT integration a few days ago. This is what they reponded:

Hello!

We are waiting to hear from Factom, will continue to be in communication with them.

However we don't have a date of release

Thanks have a great day.

I asked this a few days ago to make sure...
(From Brian Deery at Factom)

make sure you backup factoid_wallet_bolt.db.  you probably want to back it up after every transaction.  It has a deterministic generator for the private keys, but the recovery code is not written yet.

(From Brian Deery at Factom)

make sure you backup factoid_wallet_bolt.db.  you probably want to back it up after every transaction.  It has a deterministic generator for the private keys, but the recovery code is not written yet.

Update from Brian.  Back up after every address is created, not every transaction.

We buy and sell Factoids.
Also BTC, DOGE, DRK/DASH, FTC, LTC, NAV, NMC, NVC, NXT and PPC
