There was never any large buy support, and most (but not all) buys have eaten straight off the ask side. The value right now is higher than 2 weeks ago, with some ups and downs along the way, as is to be expected. Meanwhile, anyone that is staking, has generally increased their position in terms of absolute number of coins. What the hell are you even talking about? What's important, is to see development moving ahead. I think that with the XAI crowd funding taking up some of Cedric's time as well, it's only natural that it will be a couple of days before we have an update, perhaps only after the crowd funding is closed. There's also something about people eating turkey and going on a shopping spree, but I suppose that's not for everyone  I've actually been heads down focused on banging out a Quotient update/code drop and am aiming for a push EOD tomorrow or first thing Monday morning. Also working on a few other things that go with it but you will see when that plays out. I picked up a fantastic domain name to use partially for the QDEX feed as well as a few other features *cough* asset platform *cough*.  One of the things we are looking at is bumping the transaction fee, as a counterbalance to inflation, and perhaps having the tx fees "burned". 5 XQN is a number that was being thrown around. We have some time to think about that and reach a decision. I think once we get past this big BTC auction and there is more clarity in the market surrounding the Mt Gox coin handling, things will pick back up again, generally speaking. Friday will be an interesting trading day, between the outcome of the auction on the 4th and futures settlement. Between now and then I expect alt markets to remain pretty flat. This project can easily stand on its own, it has a purpose and a dedicated developer. I would like to see the stake drop to something more like 5% over a short amount of time. I also think having a max coin cap would greatly increase the long term value of this project going forward. Once we reach that cap stakes could be paid out from network fees, etc. I really feel that a cap on the max coin supply and dropping interest will help things tremendously long term and reward @CedricQuotient for all his hard work! My two cents for what its worth and hopefully we will get some more(better) ideas than mine. I personally think the decreasing % over time is our best bet. Unlimited coin supply? |

Dependant on how you handle the change in %, you probably wouldn't need to cap the total.

I do not see anything about the total coin supply when reading through the coin specs. I could be missing something or maybe I am just blind and not seeing it. If I am correct and this coin has no cap, then I strongly suggest thinking about making a cap no matter what the % change. |

I do not see anything about the total coin supply when reading through the coin specs. I could be missing something or maybe I am just blind and not seeing it. If I am correct and this coin has no cap, then I strongly suggest thinking about making a cap no matter what the % change. There is no cap on the total coin supply. I don't think there has been a coin yet with an actual/real total cap, but that doesn't mean we couldn't be the first to make one. I'm open to all suggestions as far as the interest % etc. goes, the high interest is kind of a selling point for the coin, but with all of the features and integrations coming down the road there will be plenty of other things to garner interest. |

Hey, is this coin has x86 wallet? No win 32 wallet, sorry. Crap! I don't like x64 system... A 32-bit wallet is coming... I built a VM to build the win32 wallet, and setup my toolchain, just need to compile all the dependencies/Qt/etc. I should have it ready Monday, possibly tomorrow. |

I agree high interest is a big selling point but I think it becomes a liability long term. I think the features you have planned will outweigh the high interest in the very near future. A coin cap is just my thought as a way of keeping prices in check. We will need a way to encourage people to keep wallets open to support the network when the eventual cap is reached. I am sure other ideas from the community will be much better, I just wanted to put some things on the table for everyone to think about. |

Exactly, many times its just about getting in and out quickly to make a few Bitcoins. This is more of a long term project that will take patient and thoughtful community members that support the developer. |

Quick post just to clarify that my suggestion to have a tighter max stake reward, does not change the absolute interest rate.
The interest rate would continue to sit at 1618%. The only consequence is that staking would become extremely competitive - sooner - and so not all blocks would be allowed their maximum reward.
Also, note that the max generation is always eventually reached at some point in the future. With the current specifications, perhaps the saturation point would take a year or two to reach. If we would change the max stake reward to be 10x smaller ( 61.8 ), we would simply hit that daily generation ceiling much sooner, likely in the range of a few months, and with a much smaller number of coins being generated per day.
I agree that we should not lower the absolute stake %. It's certainly one of the attractions to XQN, and if changing that now, late entrants to XQN would be penalized (making it a tougher sell, so to speak).
