i had clarkmoody working, but when it never stopped going up, i thought it was a bug.

closed that window and now I can't get it working at all... Sad
It's still going up. It stopped just now and some silly bots came in, driving the price to ~8.9 again. $$ was dumped in again and Clarkmoody's price is still increasing.
Got reconnected. BAM! Here goes the 9.0 wall again. It's been a few times since it was broken today. At $9.295 now, and it's increasing...

it seems like we're stuck in a loop. it keeps going up to 9.4 then big sell off to 8.7  then again and again. How can you trade?? mtgox not working. is it hacked?

I'm not sure, but I had some pending orders that I couldn't cancel so I just made all my USD and BTC into gox codes lol

If the volume numbers the other posters are tossing about are correct then it is likely that the order book is just taking time to match it all up. If things get too heavy the Gox team have been said to push things into manual mode to make sure that everything executes smoothly.

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

haha, that's slick. Yea when shit gets too crazy like this I push my buy/sell spread way out and turn the bots off. It saves me and probably helps the orderbook get caught up easier with a weee bit less activity.

ayee, just how slow we talking? I was obviosuly generalizing as I'd have no way of knowing what exactly is happening right now. Last time I was moving my orders was this afternoon. No need to mess with them now as even if the huge buy you guys said is accurate I am still set where I want to be..

This should be a clear message to gox that they need to upgrade something, be it hardware or software or bandwidth...somethings gotta change. You can't run the biggest bitcoin exchange on a piece of garbage that it is running on now. No one can even trade...lol...whats the point.

Let's all put blind folds on and click repeatedly and randomly the buy and sell buttons and trade that way....no different than this now lol

it froze for a while at 8.65 after being at 8.80.  i put some bitcoins up at 8.80.  then someone must have did a market order for some massive sum (thus the freeze?)... but my order was still showing as 'pending'.. wouldn't let me cancel.  But the bitcoin withdrawal method worked =p
