last chance to buy at almost record highs?

Fundamentally Bitcoin is stronger today than it was last time it hit $30, but people are also more weary after the crash. I think it's going to hover ~$30 till the end of the month.

I can imagine anyone holding a lot of coins will look at the side of the cliff separating us from $30.00 and just sell in anticipation of a correction.

30 is literally a couple big buys away and only 1 more big adoption away from who knows where, Sell off can happen but would probably only build momentum to blast to 31, anyone with alot of coins definitely didnt get there by selling in anticipation.. we shall see

Man, there is seriously a flood of money pouring into the system right now.  There's never been a better time to sell thousands of BTCs if you have that many.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

Is it tho? if you had 1000s of coins you want to pay the fees? you realize that 1000 coinsnow is 29,000 USD, if it drops only a few dollars you stand to gain what a couple grand (IF all goes according to plan)? what if your wrong? now you have to buy back inat a loss, Mind you that this isnt 100s of dollars we are talking about, this loss isnot a loss like a normal average run of the mill income person, this loss is SHITTY,

risk and reward bro, if somene who has that many wants to stab at it for the small gains they are more than welcome to do it,

I hope anyone new reading this thread that finds our resident permabears at all credible will at least read back a few pages and find that proudhon and adam have been very consistently WRONG for several weeks.

Take anything they say with a dump truck full of salt.

people buying 50K+ bitcoin would be foolish not to start selling it off slowly when their bet actually pays off...
doing Number_of_coins * MTGOX_last_price != what you'd get when you finally capitalize on your risky investment.

... just putting up a 50K ask wall would mean 5% or less unrealized "profit" ...

What the hell are you even talking about, first off who is buying 50K+ coins? i would think this is unlikely that it is a trader more likely an exchange of some sort,

I spend bitcoins all the time, im sure anyone who bought in and has made money is as well,

... just putting up a 50K ask wall would mean 5% or less unrealized "profit" ...

what does this even mean, if someone who is trading is putting up a wall that big or selling off that big they believe this is the top of where its going, the profit when somene invests in a move this big is not from putting up the wall itself they are looking to buy back lower,

I dont understand this, if its about how someone is willing to risk 50K coins for a 5% profit that is so dumb bro who the hell is going to do that,

all I'm saying is if someone bought 50K bitcoin at 5 - 10 or even 15$ he'd be stupid not to be selling it off, and should realize that he MUST do it slowly without putting to much selling pressure on the market....

its not as simple as BUY AND HOLD... and making profit buying holding and then selling is way more complicated when your dealing with 50K + bitcoin, the liquidity on this market is thin as ... well its thin!

doesnt seem to matter to much when someone dumps huge into this market,

also buying in that big at 5 its pretty much all gravy and its at the discretion of whoevers in the drivers seat what they do with their coins

Why would he be stupid? I mean, certainly that person took a position of that size because they expected long term growth. Like you said, buying 50k coins and trying to day or swing trade at those prices is just not practical. Buying in the 10 to 15 range would mean October to Janurary-ish, I think. So the person would have seen the potential for serious growth at that point in time, and now 1-3 months later you expect that the same person is seeing that potential being fulfilled? This is it! Bitcoin was destined as a payment option on Reddit, the pinnacle of achievement for an internet currency! Time to cash out?

It just doesn't add up to me personally, unless we are talking about a bipolar investor with $500k, and I don't think that person is an investor for much longer.

I give up

offer everyone you meet 10% in 3 months or less if they hand you some money right now
buy bitcoin
wait 48 hours
sell bitcoin
Profit!!!!!!!!!  Grin Grin Grin

we could try. but most people don't understand money/savings/finance enough. They won't see how this is a good deal. The average American would rather spend their money than invest for their future. They shall have a less prosperous future due to their own ignorance

You can show a horse bitcoin but can't make him buy
