simply have some reserve fiat to place a bid at the pre-dump price.
You're basically asking people to forgo a significant amount of profits. I don't keep reserve fiat on the exchanges because I don't daytrade because I have a hard time seeing how it is profitable over just buying when you have fiat available to buy with and holding.

Yesterday's dump only went as low as the prior day's prices. The most recent dump before that was on the 29th. Let's say you deposit fiat on the exchange on the 30th and held it instead of buying right then. How much potential gain would you have lost out on by waiting to buy at the pre-dump price instead of executing a market order on the 30th?

Yes, this is true. It would be more useful for day traders who don't go all in.

The idea is to make the people causing these disturbances on Gox unprofitable, so they stop causing the disturbances.

I'm sure day traders aren't pleased when they can't take advantage of the swings because of DDoS. Long term holders aren't pleased because it makes the market look like a joke.

This will sort itself out in time if Bitcoin is worth a damn. Trying to force things will probably result in unintended consequences (and somebody taking your money).

Who needs reserve fiat when you can margin trade? Of course, you need to be comfortable with the added adrenaline.
I made a killing yesterday on these dumps. Manipulators are more than welcome being stupid. Their actions are some of the most predictable on the market.

Don't take the DDOSers any more serious than all the others that spread fud on the forum or elsewhere. Know it is just a pump and dump game and make profit out of it. Those who are best at predicting prices will make the biggest profit and knowing that lag on MtGox is not an indicator of bitcoin dying should make you comfortable to stop any dump from happening by buying the cheap coins.

Mario Draghi from the ECB just announced that things are slowing down in Europe also in Germany and France. "Structural reforms" needed in member nations monetary policies common rules!!

Well you don't have to be a mastermind to know that the legacy monetary system is f*cked beyond repair!

Thanks anyway for the insight Mario!

Yet shockingly few sheeple seem aware of the danger. Otherwise Bitcoin would be 100x higher.
