How's rootdude going to stay fat when he can't afford caviar anymore? Maybe Mark can give him some tips.

This may just be me... but if I was trying to duck out of something and I was a "CEO" of some company that was failing over and over again I would probably do this:
1) Get a hold of my #2 and have them make sure that whatever I was planning on announcing at that "something" was no where near capable of working... Maybe that is the truth, maybe the project needs a couple wrenches thrown in the gears...
2) Have that predetermined failure launch the day/night before that "something" to ensure failure right before...
3) Announce that I needed to fix a failed launch of (insert project here) and that my time was better spent directing the repair and relaunch of (insert project here again)...
4) Sigh at the relief that I won't need to answer any questions that could possibly be recorded and be used against me in a court of law...
Just my opinion though...
I work almost directly with my CEO (he's two levels above me), and when something goes wrong, its a case of JFDI (Just F*cking Do It) and he keeps out of the way, getting updates every so often from my boss. I have never heard of a CEO get involved at that level - it just doesn't happen, so I agree that this was a staged fault. Oh and he's now blocked me on twitter  (at least on one of my accounts) |

As much as I didn't like him on HT I must say that this latest ban is hilarious in how completely unwarranted it is. |
