If anyone has any spare SHA256 rigs and doesn't think PayCoin is worth the risk you can still take advantage of it. Point your rigs at one of the rental sites - NiceHash/WestHash (easiest), Betarigs, or MiningRigRentals. Prices are booming.

WooHoo I'm plugging in my Block Erupter again. ROI hare I come.

Hey CoinGeek,

I have a Block Erupter but I dont know how to set it up to mine on anything other than BTCGuild.
Can you help? I'd like to run it on PayCoin.

There's nothing to mine, looks like there is a "network stall" that the devs are "working on"  Roll Eyes

I just pointed it at westhash which is renting it out. I don't think we would have much luck solo mining much of anything.

Its so funny because we knew this would all happen.

It makes me laugh because i never knew doing a ponzi was this easy and people were that stupid. Their technical people are literally a joke. Its almost like josh sat around a table with friends and said whats the hot thing this year to start a ponzi in. Hey cryptocurrency... CTO - i can totally download some source and hit the find replace and compile button.

Haha its so funny. Josh is literally the most retarded person i've ever had the displeasure of seeing operate a business.

Anyone wanna guess who or what will be blamed for this POW clusterfuck?

Maybe evil renters with their petahashes broke the coin?

Rackspace?

DHL?

Ya think they would have set up a little more fancier pool than basic nomp. A friend runs a nomp pool and in the beginning we had server crashes then realized he had to turn off a long accumulating scrypt, that was sucking up memory etc. I wish I could think of what is was exactly, but I am sure with as much hash rate as gaw had on nomp it wouldn't take long to foil things up for them. But I am sure will get a great excuse soon  Grin

NOMP down? page cannot be displayed... that's not good lol so hows the paycoin mining going so far?

I'm hearing that multicoinpool.org is still mining. I wonder how that is going to turn out. Will there be a fork when the new nodes come up and the official pool comes back.

Remember they run petahashes of power on their own pool. They obviously know what they are doing.

Still mining, but not actually making valid blocks.

If they are still mining, there almost has to be a fork,,, at this point? wow what a frick'n mess...... things couldn't be going worse this past week. As a miner I am always curious to see the latest greatest concept, but never felt this was the coin ,,, problem is they over stated and under delivered, classic bad judgment..

I think you two are probably talking about different forks, code fork vs blockchain fork.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this. How did they expect to pass this clone as their impossible-to-understand coin?

I say the original post on HT Garbozo was talking about the fork like it was a major accomplishment, not a major fuck up.
It was gone in three minutes.

He made a post saying it's incomplete, and all the magic stuff will come in a (presumably hardfork) later.

It's mostly all deleted now, but it's all on http://archive.today/ if you need it.

My guess is that they have no idea WTF they're doing.  Likely no idea why it has "stalled" nor how to fix it.

Hey 10BTCADAY do you want to try and relaunch paycoin(s) now we know he can't sue as the trademark claim is BS. I bet we can at least have a successful mining round for a whole 24 hours? What do ya say?

Might have already worked this one out for myself. Wink

Over 10% of all the bitcoin network moved to paycoin in the same twenty minute period. Update coming

Bullshit, more like 2PH.. so less than 0.7%.
