you copy the wallet.dat from the whistle folder to the btcr one (located in c://users/yourname/appdata/roaming/whistlecoin (or bittcurrency).

backup and save the wallet.dat from the whistle folder.

Bittrex wallet is back online.

I have updated the bitcurrency.conf link in the op and added a bootstrap.dat link too.

If you had trouble  with compiling from source:
Updated source to fix build issue : https://github.com/zeded/bitcurrency
now all you need to do is enter these commands to build the leveldb dependencys

Code:

 chmod 777 build_detect_platform
> make libleveldb.a libmemenv.a

and it will generate them according to whatever platform you  are compiling it on

I would like to ask everyone to sync and stake and make sure you are on the right chain.
If you need help or need to ask questions i am available in #bitcurrency irc channel.

Syncing wallet now. If there is anyone worried about switching over to the new wallet because they are new to this, as I am, it's just three simple steps:

1. Download new wallet, open and close it after a few seconds.
2. Copy wallet.dat from C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\WhistleCoin and paste into C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\BitCurrency
3. Download bitcurrency.conf file and save it in C:\Users\gfeuerborn\AppData\Roaming\BitCurrency

You're ready to start the BitCurrency wallet again and you should see it start syncing and shortly afterward you old Whistle coins will show up.

You can find links to all the downloads mentioned above in zeded's post previous to this one.

If you're braver than me, you can try using the bootstrap file to speed up the initial sync process.
