august 4th is the last time I was able to sync, I just put the nodes from the list on the block explorer to try to get it connected again

I seem to be jumping between 1-2 connections

I suggest people start PM'ng people in the thread early, that have not been talking as of late in this thread. There's quite a few people/addresses with 140 days plus with lots of chunks of coins that will be ready to stake. Just make sure they upgrade to the latest version, and get the node list.

My time with Bitcurrency is over, farewell. And thanks zeded for not letting Whistlecoin fade away. Good luck with those 501 confirms Smiley

I stopped staking a few weeks ago because it didn't seem worth it with the project seemingly dead (or at least not being actively developed). But if anyone needs to move their coins and has trouble if you send me a PM I'd be happy to stake till your btcr get where they're going.

Sorry for the delay
I updated the Bitcurrency code to the latest Blackcoin code.

Downloads
Github
Windows v1.1.2.1

If you need addnodes, the node list can be found here https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btcr/#!network if you click on node list.

I downloaded it and opened. Have problem for syncing.
Also pasted these nodes in .conf file but didn't help.

addnode=24.7.144.109
addnode=5.9.36.211
addnode=97.93.2.112

What to do?

my conf has these three lines

rpcuser=useruseruser
rpcpassword=xxxxxxx
staking=1

and am currently connected to two nodes

91.121.217.70:58167
24.7.144.109:59216

what version are you on?

it does seem that there are multiple versions connected so it probably doesnt matter. but the latest is 1.1.2.1
(i am on 1.0.0.0 but am just updating now to seeeeeee.....)

i think the high stake rates is killing the coin, why not to low the stake to a fixed daily quantity?

I don't think the problem is the stake. The problem is that the coin is only listed on yobit. there is no real activity in the thread. The developer hardly posts. No real updates.

what is going to happen once the block explorer goes down? Who is going to pay to keep it up?

its a zombie coin with no real purpose. Instead of having vague goals, this coin should have some solid goals that can be attainable.

its a shame because I like this coin, but I am not really impressed.

Hey all. So for whatever reason there's a small hardcore group here who just won't let this one die, which is annoying because every time someone necrobumps this thread I get a little shot of hope thinking zeded's finally decided to pull his finger out.  Wink

Anyway I set up a node on a server so for all of you BTCR die-hards who can't get synced try adding this to your bitcurrency.conf

Code:
addnode=167.88.35.84

I can't guarantee it'll be up forever, but at least for the time being it'll let you get your sync on should you need to. By the way, if any of you have a little free time and the ability feel free to take the reigns with the project. I'd be happy to see it come to life again too and it probably wouldn't take all that much work to upgrade it to include the PoS v3 changes from Blackcoin.

I been staking this and it doesnt sound sustainable given how buggy and crappy its code is. This casts a dark and cold shadow over the entire coin community, fact. I hope I can produce something of value before money runs out.

I will keep mining this coin until we lose the blockchain explorer or get delisted from yobit.

I would like to see something done with this coin, but the dev seems MIA as far as development is concerned.

I thought it was pretty much a straight clone of Blackcoin, what bugs do you mean?
