What happened? My coins were staked, but now they only show as spendable. I didn't do anything else. Is it a bug?

I seemed to have received two payments(one was broken up, so actually three) for staked mining. And it'll be the third 8 hour period coming soon, and I'll see what happens. I've shut it down and started back up the client, and that didn't change a thing. I'm thinking I should download the whole blockchain again if I don't see anything happen when it should.

the blockchain is still moving a bit slow so the 501 confirmation takes a bit, once the 501 confirms happen then balance returns to "spendable" until the next time they find a pos block

I don't really get what you're saying. The last staked mining payments (the split payment), have 881 and 880 confirmations. On the lower right the little staking icon tells me, no mature coins so not staking.

so your coins have been in the spendable column for 380 confirmations ?

I don't know how many confirms it would normally take to reach the 8 hours, but I imagine you would start counting them from the 502nd confirmation so your green light will not come back on until they are matured 8 hrs after the 502nd confirm  (8 hrs at normal blockchain speed)

Ok, I see what happens now, it just doesn't make sense to me. I got the stake mining payout, but this time in four payments! That has to be a bug.

First stake, one full size payment. Second, two half payments. Third, four quarter payments. I'm scared what will happen over time like this.

with the 10k experiment (coin) each time you find a block the chunk of coins used to stake is split in two. I'm not sure if this happens with btcr, but if it does then when the returns get too small you would make a new "receive" address and send all your coins to it which will put them all into one big chunk again, which will be split down again into smaller and smaller chunks as they continue to be staked.

I noticed my returns were smaller on the second staking as well so I think it might be the case... only zeded would now Wink

What about rich list? I just check it out and found addresses are those which zeded spent our coins back from. and not our BTCR addresses. Does it need to be fix?

Yes thats true. Every time you stake each input becomes 2 smaller inputs. After a while when it gets too small you can send it back to yourself to combine them if you want.

What do you mean?

For example my btcr address was not there. But the BTCR which i received my coins back from was there.
I think people need to send their coins again to themselves after receiving 10x back.

I didn't do anything extra and I'm showing up on the richlist(farther down). I don't see that it has a problem.

As for the problem..Suppose someone leaves a computer going for seven days straight, while away. Starting with eight inputs(which I now currently have), in that weeks time, it'll end up being 16,777,216 inputs! That's just crazy. Can this staking halved outputs be fixed, so no intervention is needed?

Also i want to ask now. What do you guys want me to do with the remaining premine.
Do you want me to burn it or do you want me to send to to the top 100 and top 250 richlists of other coins proportional to the coins they are holding like
top 250 holders litecoin 0.1 btcr per ltc
top 250 holders dogecoin 0.0001 btcr per doge
top 250 holders darkcoin 1 btcr per drk
top 250 holders peercoin 0.1 btcr per ppc
top 250 holders blackcoin 0.1 btcr per blk
top 250 holders stakecoin 1 btcr per stk(holders who staked before only)
top 100 holders shadowcash 0.1 btcr per sdc(holders who staked before only)
top 100 holders gaiacoin 0.1 btcr per gaia(holders who staked before only)
top 100 holders aerome 0.1 btcr per am(holders who staked before only)
top 100 holders pimpcash 0.1 btcr per pimp(holders who staked before only)
and if any left over after that burned

This way the ~55 million left over currently would be spread across thousands of people instead of just burned.
or do you want me to simply burn them?
I'll make a poll on the top for you guys to vote.

I think there is already a fix for that currently in the coin.
like it reaches a point where it doesnt split more.
i'll check.
But sending to your self back again when you have hundreds or thousands of inputs wouldnt take much time also.
