The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

@zeded, I hope you can update the first post with more info about this coin. Mainly about the exchange(s) it's on, and the volume of currency actually held(no burn addys) along with a projection about how the coin will grow due to staking.

Also those still holding whistlecoins need a roadmap of what to do. Have any idea how many are still on Bittrex?

@Everyone else, Help support the coin by keeping the wallet open with some coins. Lets get people excited about this coin!

I believe the swap is now done and dusted (the remaining coins were burned), so if anyone has some wstl sitting on Bittrex they'd forgotten about they're out of luck. To be fair everyone was given ample warning.

I was just wondering zeded's plan for still giving away coins to top holders of other coins. Will it be like clamcoin that you seed their equivalent btcr address, and they they must import their coin's wallet into btcr's wallet? I moved on to new wallets because of that other coin for the sake of security. Or is there a better way?

Lol he burned the coins in the end - you even posted afterwards saying it was a good choice.  Wink

He said here, that it would most likely give 1000 coins to each address of his own coins and such. So if that plan goes forward, I have to wonder how it will be executed. Clamcoin has its skeptics due to needing to import wallets, just wanted to know if there was another way.

Oh yeah, sorry I missed that one. I like Clam - I checked some old wallets the other day and found I had about a hundred dollars' worth. Was a nice boost. I like the idea of giveaways to bring the project to more people's attention too, but I don't think that the people who already hold a lot of other coins are necessarily the best people to have as part of the community. Imho it's better to give to people who contribute in some way via larger bounties than to give smaller amounts to people who already own a lot of another coin anyway (and will likely just dump the BTCR).

With you there, I'm happy too for zeded to do his thing in his own time.

I think you are too late to the party. One of two things would have to happen. Provided that blockchain is still going, a withdrawal will still work going to the old wallet. From there you could send them to the burn address with the correct wallet for that. Then the possibilities are:
-zeded, out of pure goodness, takes from his own coins to give to you.
-if a new client is issued there could be a hard fork for a new genesis block. I would imagine a lot of people would need to be waiting with whistle coin for this to have a chance at happening.
-you are completely out of luck. Bittrex has had the coin with warnings for what seemed like months, and then the exchange of the coin stopped. You had all that time to find out what was happening.
-any other possibilities are currently out of my scope of understanding.

I wonder how many whistle coins are still on bittrex, I haven't heard an answer here.
