Hi, Then we should send our coins to burn address and receive them back? Please say the reason? and let me know how safe is this ?

well it should be safe. unless the dev dies during th process Wink

as to teh reason ? i dont really know, but we will receive 10x the coins. so it seems to be for distribution of existing dev coins.

doing the swap like this means -
anyone who misses out on the swap will still have their current coins.
active users will be rewarded for doing the swap (with the extra coins)
and dead coins will just stay dead and not be changed.

How is this possible? Because all coins are 18.5 million and how dev sends 10x for swap process? for example If someone has 1 million coins then he will receive 10 million coins after sending to burn address?

I sent some coins to burn address but nothing returned back. Why?

BitCurrency will have 10x the coin supply of WSTL (I believe), and they've not been returned yet because it hasn't been launched. When it has the BTCR will be sent out to everyone who sent to the burn address.

Ok. I want dev team confirm this before I send all my coins to burn address. Please confirm dev.

And also explain this: If approximately 10x coins will be available in BTCR, Then what about remaining coins that are not mined?
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

The remaining new coins after the swap can either all be burned or sharedroped to other coins depending on what people want. (for example the left over coins can be sent to top 100 holders of a variety of coins. or the left over coins can instead be burned depending on what people want.)

Hello all

There is going to be a coin swap between old Bitcurrency/WSTL to new Bitcurrency with new source and blockchain.
The swap is going to be made using a burn address which we send our coins to. Then we receive the new coin back to the address that we sent from. the swap will be 10 new coins for 1 old coin. to claim the coins after we burned old coins, its as simple as importing the private key into the new coin wallet.
The person who will send out the coins to the people who sent to the burn address is me. I will do it honestly and without taking any extra coins for my self. Everything will be able to be checked using the block explorers. And i will encourage people to check also.
The remaining new coins after the swap can either all be burned or sharedroped to other coins depending on what people want. (for example the left over coins can be sent to top 100 holders of a variety of coins. or the left over coins can instead be burned depending on what people want.)

Please withdraw your WSTL from Bittrex into your wallet. So you can send to the burn address.
Bittrex currently only supports sending to W addresses. so download the W address wallet from here: https://mega.co.nz/#!2FVDGCqb!arHGZiqM0-mgzrFm5iKhxSI0OjingHU63O_CgyWHRp8

Then after you receive it from Bittrex, update your wallet to the B address wallet from here: https://mega.co.nz/#!iEtgCbZI!IP6VVqb-cub5ik16NICfaiHGvhZVgOSy8aPlLifY_CM

Then make a new address and send all your coins to it. ( When you update your wallet to new wallet, your coins come in but you have not a BTCR address, then after updating your wallet create a BTCR address and send all your coins to your own address. and next go to next step )
Then send all your coins to this burn address: B88888888888888888888888888852jDUM

They can have some extra time to send no worries since the new Bitcurrency didnt launch yet. I think if we give them an extra week after launch thats ok.
The new Bitcurrency is ready for launch. It will launch tomorrow hopefully Smiley
Everything is ready now.

The new bitcurrency has been launched
The source is https://github.com/zeded/bitcurrency
the windows wallet is https://mega.co.nz/#!WUkiVQKR!FKPnyfcSO6W99zGdQUmlvvH1dG7eGThqCz3Y_ETKj_w

Total premined for the coin swap is 181600169.00 BTCR
All remaining coins after the swap will either be burned to the burn address, or sent to the top 100 richlist of other coins. Depending on what people want.

There is a 4000 block pow period now to help the chain move until people have coins for PoS.
Block 1 was 181600000 BTCR
block 2 to 10 were 1 BTCR
block 11 to block 4000 is 80 BTCR

My miner mined 12 blocks before i stopped it. Total premined 181600169.00 BTCR
That is the premine for the coin swap.
All remaining coins after the swap will either be burned to the burn address, or sent to the top 100 richlist of other coins. Depending on what people want.

What's going on? I'm now up to three connections occasionally with the newest client and the blocks have stayed halted at block 118. If this is a 64 second block, I've should have seen it move.

I'm not sure if I have a miner set up right, but it's not getting work. And after originally wondering what was happening, I deleted all the data files and started over--that got me to the checkmark being caught up. Maybe update the first post, so people see what needs to be done?

To anyone that currently has some coins in their wallet, test sending something to me Cheesy I keep it Cheesy

If more coins get burned and get the exchange rate, there will need to be another genesis block for all those coins. I think they would be better off to just wait to actually keep the coins they have and not lose them altogether.

If you are stuck with an out of sync wallet, shut down the wallet, go to the data directory(for example mine on windows 7 is C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\BitCurrency) and delete everything but the wallet.dat, peers.dat, and the *.conf file, then restart the wallet. It should catch up in no time to block  118 and then get stuck Roll Eyes

When downloading new wallet. if you used any old bitcurrency wallet before you need to delete everything in your  appdata roaming bitcurrency folder except your wallet.dat
you can even move the wallet.dat somewhere else if you want. (like backup)
then open the new wallet and mine.
people need to mine so the chain moves
at block 501 i can send out coins to people who burned their old bitcurrency.
so then they need to hold it for 8 hours before pos mining. But after that the chain will move by itself with pos and pow wont be needed.
So the pow is only 4000 blocks. If you have a gpu please try to mine.
