I like the idea of the extra coins being spread out among the top 100 wallets in proportion to how much they hold... how/why would holders of other coins be involved? or would that just be a way to get more people involved?

It would be a way for more people to get involved. The coins would be spread across thousands of people which could be a very good thing. also i will make it really easy for them to get their coins.(as simple as putting their wallet.dat in the bitcurrency appdata folder)

for an example. A person has enough Litecoin to be in the top 250, you look at the explorer and see the Litecoin address of the owner, how do you then send that user bitcurrency ? I would be for sending a percentage of the remaining coins (55mil) to the top 100 holders proportion to how much they hold as fonzerrellie has suggested with the percent of remaining coins the could be put in to wallets listed in the OP Development wallet - community approved Bounty wallet - for outsourced work Give away wallet - earmarked for example on the poloniex exchange you can have giveaways locked at x amount of coins per user, most likely other exchanges do the same. effective method of getting your coins to users Just thinking out aloud here thoughts?

What purpose does it provide to give those already with a lot of something, something else? It would be better to set up a faucet, or give them for liking or sharing something. Otherwise burn the rest. You want people that like the coin to have it, otherwise, no way give them coins.

I don't want to keep any of the coins. no development or bounty wallet since that is wrong. I will use my own coins and btc for that. to answer your question on how other coins could have bitcurrency: i would simply make a wallet that can send coins to their addresses. and for them to get the coins they simply put their wallet.dat in the bitcurrency appdata folder. and it would all be transparent with lists of which addresses were sent to.

To make bitcurrency spread across many people proportional to the coins they are holding. It would give bitcurrency more value

It would give the coin less value, most who got the coin would either keep(sit on) or sell them, plus there would be more coins total. Burning them immediately increases the value of the other coins. I'm not one to push for the rich getting richer.
You can spread the word a lot more effectively giving out them for one million actions, like sharing and liking, a lot more effectively than begging a few thousand to take interest. Something could be made to automate the process, and the coin could get popular.

if the coins are sent to all the top 100/250 holders of the various coins
+ receiver is aware, downloads wallet, holds coins posts in thread, buy more etc
- receiver is unaware , doesn't download wallet to get coins, lost supply
- receiver is aware, downloads wallet and sells

I think if wind bring something it will get it also. And there is a matter with sending remaining coins to those top holders of other coins and that is maybe they dump bitcurrency as fast as possible and don't care about BTCR. Because maybe they want to sell fast and buy their favorite coin and use this gift in that case.
But having more people involved is a good idea too.

I like the idea about having a big chunk set aside for future development if it's needed or for marketing, giveaways/raffles etc and burning the remainder.

i dont think keeping any coins is fair. i have my own coins and btc i can use. also there could be a donation address also. but using the left over for anything is not fair at all and its not right. the left over should either be burned, or sent out to thousands of people to make the distribution good. right now only 70 people hold coins. if it is sent out to thousands of people that would be much better.

I don't know this coin and don't hold any of it. I just wanted to point out that sending loads of coins to all current owners of said coin proportional to their current share of coins, accomplishes fuck all. They still control the same percentage of coins. It's a huge waste of time.

I am agree. Sending remaining to top holders is a better idea. More people may help to extend BTCR and also vote every where to add it to exchangers and having more exchangers and more exchange volume. It helps us to remain on the market and develop our coin better.

Other coins' holders. Not the same coins' holders.

I'm fine with which ever way zeded thinks is the best to deal with the extra coins... after all he put all the work into the new wallet and the swap.

The better idea is sending remaining coins to top holders of other coins. It really helps to improve and extend BTCR. We can have very big market with thousand people involved. I voted for that.
