Just to reiterate, here's another person impressed with being able to play without registation:

Very nice!
Not having to register makes if very easy for me to get my co-workers playing... I point them to the site, I bankroll them and they give me cash (I'll cash them out, too.)  If they get lucky, then I get to buy some bitcoin when I cash them out!

Thanks for the info! We already have started work on this now, so it's good to know there will definitely be demand Cheesy

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Due to popular demand, we now support playing for real bitcoins without registering. Or, as we call it, Auto-Registering. When you go to sign up for a new bitZino account, you now have two options, either provide a username and password combination, or just click a button. This is what our registration page looks like now:

If choose the Auto-Register option, you can log back in to your bitZino account at any time by just visiting your personal login URL.

If you decide you want to add additional security to your account, you can always upgrade your auto-registered account's security by providing a username and password on your user settings page. Then, if you'd like, you can upgrade the security of your account even more by adding two-factor authentication.

We hope that this new registration option will make it even easier for new players to come and give us a try, while still providing maximum security for players that choose to be more secure.

That's all very cool.  I tried it out and it seems to work well.  I auto-registered, bookmarked the URL, used the URL to log in, deposited, played, added a username and password, and withdrew.

One small criticism I guess would be that at first glance it still looks like bitzino requires registration.  The "username/password" fields at the top, along with the "register" link makes it look like a traditional site where registration is compulsory, and so may still put off the lazy/casual player.  I don't have a clear picture of how it could be better, but thought I'd point it out anyway.  Other than that, I think this is a great improvement!  Smiley

Oh, also after I deposited, the deposit didn't show up until I reloaded the page.  I don't know if it's possible to detect the deposit and update my balance on-screen in real time, or even just provide a button to click to check for new deposits (on any screen where you display my deposit address), but that would be useful.

Also, where you write:

Unconfirmed balance:  1000.00000 m฿

it would be useful if you could state how many confirmations are required in total.  My deposit has one confirmation now, so strictly speaking it's not "unconfirmed", but it's still showing up as such.

I'm glad it all worked well for you, and thanks for testing it out!

Smiley

Flip it around, so auto register is on top and then you get the option to create an account.
As is, it seems like just another button at the bottom of a form & I would personally be "ad blind" to that area, my eyes would skip it because it is below the text entry fields.

This is a good idea! We've gone ahead and made this change: flipping the order, so the "Auto-Register" option is now first on the registration page. This way, the more astute users will still probably read the whole thing and still be aware of the fact that they can register the old-fashioned way, whereas the casual browser will see the easier option displayed to them first.

Oh, also after I deposited, the deposit didn't show up until I reloaded the page.  I don't know if it's possible to detect the deposit and update my balance on-screen in real time, or even just provide a button to click to check for new deposits (on any screen where you display my deposit address), but that would be useful.

We've been working on an overhauled UI in this area for a while now, but I think in this case perfection is the enemy of progress. So, for now at least, I've added a simple "Refresh balance" link to the initial "To get started..." window.

Also, where you write:

Quote
Unconfirmed balance:  1000.00000 m฿

it would be useful if you could state how many confirmations are required in total.  My deposit has one confirmation now, so strictly speaking it's not "unconfirmed", but it's still showing up as such.

We typically only require 2 confirmation before we consider a deposit fully confirmed, however, in certain situations we do require more confirmations in order to protect us from double-spends. I'll think about how we can make this more informative to the user though.

BitZino is one of the best game in the bitcoin market.

Thanks for the kind words Smiley

Played there tonight. Won money. Had fun. Will probably be back to donk off some more money soon.

Only complaint is the LOOOOOOOONG withdraw time like other gamblin' sites like SWC, but I guess I withdraw then goto bed. So it's not a huge deal :\

EDIT: Just lost 25 BTC. Think I lost close to 15 hands in a row. Fudge.

In my experience withdrawals from bitZino are pretty much instant.

The only exception is if you've deposited recently.  In that case they wait for your deposit to get 2 confirmations before letting you withdraw.

Ever tried withdrawing from Pokerstars or similar?  I'm currently unable to withdraw from them because they want to see a copy of a recent utility bill.  I live in the middle of nowhere, without utilities.  Satellite Internet is the only "utility" we get here, and that's not in my name.

I once tried to withdraw from my online Ladbrokes sports betting account.  I couldn't find the option on their website so I phoned them.  The nice lady seemed a little confused, and told me that I didn't need to withdraw, but that they would hold my balance for me until I wanted to bet on something else.

In celebration of the new year, We have doubled (or more) the maximum bet in all our games! You can now wager up to 20 BTC per hand in blackjack, 40 BTC per spin in roulette (with up to 2 BTC stake per number), 2 BTC per hand in video poker, and up to 4 BTC per wager type per roll in craps (which actually allows you to wager very large amounts if you have multiple wagers on the table).

Let the high stakes gambling begin!

20 BTC per hand???  Holy Jebus.

Yup! I believe we offer the highest stakes bitcoin blackjack around.

So I can go bet the house on red? Or maxed @ 2btc?

In Roulette, you can bet up to 40 BTC on "outer wagers". So, this means you can bet up to 40BTC on red, or 40 BTC on "1st 12", etc. The 2 BTC limit is for the individual "inner bet" numbers. But, you can bet more than 2 BTC if the bet is split between 2 numbers. E.g. you can bet up to 4 BTC on the 1,2 split, and 6 BTC on the 1,2,3 Street. The maximum for inner bets is 2 BTC stake on an individual number.

But, you can bet more than 2 BTC if the bet is split between 2 numbers. E.g. you can bet up to 4 BTC on the 1,2 split. The maximum is 2 BTC stake on an individual number.

Here's how you explained it when I asked a while ago.  It looks like the max bet on red has doubled twice since you wrote this though:

The overall max is always 10 BTC. This means you can bet 10 BTC on red itself, as long as you have no other wagers. If instead you bet 1 BTC on anything else, then you can bet up to 9 BTC on red.

For individual numbers, the maximum you can bet is more complicated. Basically, the maximum stake you can have in any single number is 1 BTC. So, you can bet up to 2 BTC on the 1,2 Split, and up to 4 BTC on the 1,2,4,5 Corner. This calculation can get somewhat complicated at times: for example, if you have a 0.1 BTC wager on 1 Straight, then you can only wager up to 1.8 BTC on the 1,2 Split - because any more would give you too much stake in the 1. Note though, that we don't count "outer wagers" toward individual numbers in this formula. This means you can wager 1 BTC on Odd, and still wager up to a full 1 BTC on the 1 (even though you technically already have 1/18th BTC stake on the 1).

Also, I just tried looking at the max bets in blackjack but was shown this error page:

I don't know if you're aware of it, but both luckco.in and bitcoinvideopoker.com are currently offering video poker games with a progressive max-bet royal flush jackpot, whereas your video poker has no progressive pot.

Both sites currently only allow a maximum bet of 0.005 BTC per hand, so are catering to a different market than your game I guess, but I thought I should point it out in case you weren't aware of it.

Thanks for the comp.  Smiley

Thanks for the info! Progressives don't really work unless you have a set bet size, whereas we've taken the approach of allowing you to always bet whatever you want and still always be paid out the maximum. Also, we've got something else in the works that should reward your play across all our games in a way that's more fair and more fun than progressives, so stay on the lookout!

I think you should add sounds to the video poker as BitcoinVideoPoker.com does.

Thanks for the feedback! Sounds have been on our todo list for a long time now. It's good to hear feedback like your to help us prioritize what to push to the top of our list Smiley

I think the lack of audio is the single biggest weakness across your site. Then again, I'm a musician, so maybe I'm more tuned into that than many other people. Check out my recent comments in the Bitcoin Video Poker thread for some thoughts on VP sounds.

I also play a lot of blackjack at your site, but again, I would be playing at bc-casino.com due to the audio. What keeps me with you is the "dealer doesn't peek for blackjack" rule that BC-Casino implements. I hate that rule.

Hi, love your site - specifically your craps which is the only game I play there. I especially like the simple, clean, fast, no bullshit UI. The bet placing system you have for craps (not sure if its the same for other games) really allows the player to efficiently and quickly make their bets - which gives the craps game a nice overall flow and feel. Really handy to be able to quickly and easily make different sized bets for the different wagers as well as pressing up your bets without having to move your mouse cursor back and forth across the screen every time you need to change increments for a specific wager.

Regarding the first bolded, would you be taking about something similar to a casino rewards program or rakeback? Because something like that would be awesome and would definitely increase my play at your site.  Smiley

As far as sounds go, I like the no sounds aspect since oftentimes I'm doing something else on my computer while degenning it up on your craps game. So if you do add sounds, I would kindly request making them optional. And I'm also a big fan of the fact that you don't have some silly distracting animation of dice bouncing around the table every roll.

Anyway, thanks for the games and keep up the great work. And thanks to the other players for finding bugs and helping to improve the bitZino.

Cheers.
