What is your opinion of the domain squatters that just opened with a 1-character difference in the URL?

Dooglus put it well. I take this as a sign that we've made it Smiley I also see it as a general success indicator of bitcoin.

I registered my email address on bitZino, and now I get non-stop crazy spam from some other gambling site. Is this just a coincidence?

This must just be a coincidence. We have absolutely no interest in selling our user's personal information. Additionally, we have no interest in email marketing. The only reason you'll ever get an email from us is if it's from a human being due to a direct support-related issue regarding your account.

That page doesn't load for me, but I would not trust a site that does a ctrl+c of the CSS file.

Testing the the pay table (only with play money), the royal flush seems to pay a flat 250.
bitZino and Playtin both have flat 800.
bitcoinvideocasino only has 250 but at least some progressive whatever.
But a flat 250? seriously?

I'm just glad to see all this bitcoin entrepreneurship, although I do wish they'd choose unique names for themselves. I'm also glad to see that provably fair gaming is the standard around here. The rest of the industry will will catch up on these fronts eventually, and we'll all be the ones that innovated and drove them to change their practices!

I make a point of bringing provable fairness to the attention of any bitcoin gambling site that doesn't have it.  It's little extra work for a fair casino to put in, and keeps the cheats out.  (Except for the cheats who offer provably fair games but then refuse to pay out if anyone wins big.  There's not a lot we can do about that).

Cheating by simply refusing to pay out really only works once though. As soon as there's a public outcry, you'd have to close up shop.

Whereas, cheating by manipulating the odds in the house's favor could go undetected for a very long time, and there is already existing software that allows the cheaters to do this.

Even third-party certification agencies can only provide so much protection against this type of cheating, because they can't be monitoring the software 24/7. Only cryptographic systems allows for true zero-trust game-play. It may take a while to break outside of the bitcoin community, but eventually all players will demand their online casinos be provably fair. It's just easier for the bitcoin community, because most people that understand bitcoin already understand the basic premise of how provably fair systems work (mainly the importance of a one-way hash function).

Wow!  I'm not surprised that there's cheating software out there, but I am surprised that it's marketed so openly as such!

We're happy to announce the official launch of Slots!

We are launching a classic 3-reel, 5-line game of Slots that we call "B's and Z's". This game offers 99.036% return-to-player, and allows you to win up 500x your wager! You can wager up to 2 BTC per line, for a total wager of up to 10 BTC per spin. I'm really pleased with the way the HTML5 graphics turned out - it looks great, and plays silky-smooth.

Of course, like all our games, Slots is provably fair. We have utilized a novel technique, utilizing a mathematical system called factoradics in order ensure our Slots games are provably fair.

Check it out, and let me know what you think!

Check it out, and let me know what you think!

It doesn't work very well for me.  Often all 3 reels just flicker between 2 or 3 reel positions and stay like that until I refresh the page.  One time the first 2 reels stopped but the 3rd didn't.  The 3rd kept showing various configurations of 'Z's, but no hint of a 'B', even though the reel was still spinning, it appeared to be entirely made of 'Z's, and never stopped spinning.

I think I'd like a higher contrast between 'on' and 'off' graphics for the pay-line indicator graphics.  They currently look too similar.

I'm not sure what's going on with my Internet connection (or your server, perhaps?)  I got ping times like I always get - 700ms is standard for my satellite Internet connection:

Quote
$ ping bitzino.com

rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 692.846/709.952/724.030/12.288 ms

but look at the total time: it took 18 seconds to do 4 <1s pings.  I don't understand how that can be, but maybe it explains the poor experience I had.

Oh no, that doesn't sound good at all. Our servers seem to be operating smoothly - our response times are withing the 100-200ms range, which is the standard. However, even with a slow response time, you shouldn't be seeing the jittery graphics in that manner. However, we have noticed that in firefox, the framerate does drop when it's making a request, so maybe this has something to do with it. What browser were you doing the testing on?

I'll look into making the on and off indicators have a bigger visual difference.

Thanks for your feedback!

Our servers seem to be operating smoothly - our response times are withing the 100-200ms range, which is the

My first spin never ended (all three wheels). I waited maybe 60 seconds then hit reload, and it showed a loss.    Single line.

Then the next half dozen spins went fine.

Then I went three lines hit spin,   Left wheel stops, the right two wheels keep spinning.  More than 60 seconds.

I am on wi-fi with intermittent connectivity but not sure if that's the cause.   Chromium on Ubuntu Linux.

report from just-ping.com

Cool report! Those times all look pretty good to me - except Hong Kong, but I'm not sure if there's much we can do about that.

I'm sorry to hear about these issues. We use the same technique for spinning the slots reels as we do our Roulette wheel, so I'm sad to hear that you're running into problems. Even if you're having internet connectivity issues, you should still see a warning popup after 30 seconds, rather than just having the reels spin indefinitely. Have you run into similar issues with Roulette as well? It's possible that the same bug is present on both of these games.

Ok, I do notice it hasn't happened when I've not been logged in.  But then when I am logged in, even if I'm playing Play Money while logged in it will happen.  It also happened on Firefox 16.0.2 (Ubuntu) as well as on my Android Nexus 7 tablet (Chrome for mobile).

So multiple browsers, multiple devices.  The only thing consistent is using my same login.  Maybe it is my account?

I don't normally play roulette.  But to test I just tried on the same browsers and devices and no problem with roulette.  Went back to slots on each and got the indefinite spin right away.  It isn't consistent 100% but I don't have to do more than a spin or three and it will go with the indefinite spin for at least one wheel.

Same here.  Very rarely see a problem with roulette, very often see it with slots.  Chromium on Ubuntu here too.

Ok, I was finally able to replicate the problem! It looks like the issue is occurring because both of you have your animation time set to "Fastest / Off", which is causing a bug in the javascript. Our Roulette doesn't account for animation time in the same way, which is why the bug doesn't show up there. I should have thought of this earlier!

We're working on a fix right now, and I've also comped both of you 0.25 BTC to thank you for helping us identify this bug.

We've updated our Slots game to properly handle the fastest animation speed without spinning forever.  Thanks Dooglus and Stephen!

We also updated the style of the 'on' indicator graphic so that it has a border around it, which should make it more prominently different than the 'off' indicator - thanks Dooglus!

I really appreciate the feedback! As always, keep it coming!

That's much better now; the animation, the lack of freezing, the 'on' indicator (and the 0.25 BTC comp!)
