So say I win 80k clam and then go try and sell 10k of it, what happens to the price and what is the max payout of JD now?

It really depends on how and where you sell it.

If you dump it on an exchange, the price drops to about 10% of the current price. You'd have to be pretty silly to do that, but you could if you wanted to. People have dumped large amounts on the exchange before in anger trying to destroy the market. All that happened was a bunch of people got to buy some cheap CLAMs and the price recovered.

If you win 80k CLAM the max profit doesn't change much at all. Investors only risk 0.5% of their total effective investment, so the max profit would go down by 400 from 81.3k to 80.9k. If you won another 80k then a bunch of investors would be margin called and the max profit would drop significantly.

You can't trade any reasonable amount of clam for Bitcoin.

What's a reasonable amount of CLAM? The poloniex exchange is showing 4700 CLAM traded for BTC in the last 24 hours. Is that reasonable? I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. I don't have any trouble trading CLAM for BTC at all. People are almost always happy to trade it at the market price off-exchange because that way they avoid fees and slippage.

It's not even worth mentioning as a currency to use for gambling unless you are talking in the same sense of Zynga chips or Pokerstars play money.

And yet here we are, mentioning it. Do you have any real points? CLAM is clearly used on gambling sites and is working as intended. It's nothing like Zynga or Pokerstars money.

So PRC is the highest as someone could win 182BTC and trade it instantly on Bitstamp.

BTC is more easily exchanged for other currencies than CLAM is of course. That doesn't mean that 182 BTC is worth more than 80k CLAM. It would probably take you a while to find buyers for 80k CLAM, but I would be surprised if you didn't get at least twice as much as 182 BTC for it. I recently escrowed a private transaction in which someone bought 10k CLAM for 65 BTC. The price hasn't moved much at all since then. At that rate 80k CLAM would sell for 65*8 = 520 BTC. Even if they only got half that they would still be getting more than the 182 BTC max bet at PRC.

Saying at the current price is warping the reality of the situation no matter how you look at it. Most trading happens on exchanges; the one minute blocks makes the process quick so I don't imagine people would lose much stake doing so.

I would get into this with you, but:

Quote
16:54 [356] ricky the fact that he is arguing with me, a self proclaimed idiot about his max profit is laughable

so I guess I won't bother. Needless to say you're wrong.

So you are stating that CLAM is a currency. The reason you closed JD was because of bill C-31 if I remember correctly? Which wasn't specific to Bitcoin but "virtual currencies".

If CLAM is a virtual currency used on a popular gambling website, traded on popular exchanges for Bitcoin and being traded with no record privately for Bitcoin how does this bill not affect you just like it did when you used Bitcoin as your currency?

Haha dooglus arguing this much over your play tokens. The level of butthurt is unreal.

That fact that you guys are complicit in selling mounds of these tokens off exchange to greater fools is basically criminal. If anyone buys that off Bay that's money they will never see again.

86% of all faucet claims made are from you. You claimed the faucet over and over to send to other accounts to build up enough that at least one of the times you just cashed it out.

I set a limit on how much a single person can claim since it was clear that at least one person was abusing it.

What is the current faucet limit, for someone who wagers 200 BTC?

lol 0 after Dean gets done with you.

The faucet is just scam that is a attempt to get people in the door and then if you keep using it Dean will cut that shit off on you.

I believe the faucet is just to attract new players same as PD uses.. Not entirely sure though bb.
Surely Dean has good intention doing this.

Faucet is only there to attract new users or give regulars a little something to do while waiting about.

I can't understand the complaints at all here. It's my own money I'm giving out for free.

Melds has been over exaggerating. He didn't wager the amount claimed to get the faucet. He had already wagered that before I put the faucet up.
But that amount does allow him to claim the highest amount from the faucet, which he repeatedly claimed every 5 minutes all day since it went live. 86% of all faucet claims were by him and he cashed out some without even playing. Sorry but that's not the purpose of the faucet.

The thing is, the new rule has almost no effect on any other member because no one else does this.

And to address deleting posts. I only delete posts by the usual gang of trolls. You can read this thread from beginning, there's criticism in there by real players.

Here's them doing their usual and trying to waste my time on here. Any normal person can see why I delete their posts. They don't play on PRC, they are involved in running competitor sites or have other agendas.

I didn't break any rules, he started lying I cashed without wagering, when I did 0 cashouts.  He worked a BS excuse to perma mute my main account. That's what pissed me off. Then started deleting my legit reply here. Watch this one go too.

So using faucet was abusing. I was 86% bc I was probably one of the few using it. I wagered 400 btc u think i want to steal 10k sat? I was just wagering and giving it back to the site. Honestly, I'm wiping my memory of this site. Getting perma muted for saying there's a promo on btctalk is a joke. "it counts as a link to competitor". a phrase with no names counts as a link Smiley
And the moron thinks I'm upset over his dust. (which I only used to give the site wagered).

Sounds like the same issue PrimeDice was having.

They offer a faucet as a cheap was of bringing in new players then complain when people use it too much.

Surely the answer is to put limits in place, and be clear about those limits.

If you don't want someone claiming more than N times per hour, don't let them claim more than N times per hour. Simple as. No need for all this drama.

So you've spent all that time claiming faucet and sending to other accounts with intention to gamble and lose? Yeah, sounds legit.

And what "giving back to the site" even means? If faucet is funded from Dean's pocket and your losses go to the investors - how's that 'giving back'?

He rewarded you, as a loyal player, with an option to claim 10k sats every 5 mins whenever you're short of funds and you abused it. If someone invited you to a house party, would you pack your bags with all the free food and drinks (provided by the host) and leave? It sure wouldn't be stealing, but would it be OK?

You did what you did, so don't act like a victim.

Surely the answer is to put limits in place, and be clear about those limits.

If you don't want someone claiming more than N times per hour, don't let them claim more than N times per hour. Simple as. No need for all this drama.

100% agree, the limits should've been set from the start. It was just a matter of time before someone abuses it.
