The pool owner is a THIEF!  He just robbed people off their earnings even if they didn't mine past 2 days.

He basically chopped a huge % off of total LTC's that people had.

YES, I understand that you were in hospital and all that but the users don't have to pay your hospital bills!

It was YOUR fault that you were not able to monitor the server, why are you making the users pay for something that is YOUR OWN FAULT?Huh

Check yourself.

He is not a thief....he was double paying for 24 hours as I understand it.  Adjusting the balance in accounts to correct this over-payment is the correct course of action as far as I am concerned.  What, he should ask everyone to pay back the unearned coins on their own honor?  somehow I doubt that would work too well.

I am the largest miner on the site, so its not like I do not have a vested interest here.

Think about this from Nicksasa'a perspective:  Does it really make sense to "Steal" a small percentage of everyone's accounts, and completely obliterate his reputation and ruin his pool?  It seems to me the earnings from running the largest LTC pool in the world outweigh the meaningless one time profit from such a theft.

Think on it, and take it easy with the accusations of theft.  Perhaps some of the claw backs were not calculated correctly, but there is a way to deal with that without resorting to defaming someone.

Ok, while thief might be harsh, if what happened here is what everyone thinks, it's certainly a very poor decision.  The adjustment made to just my funds alone was ~$40 worth of LTC, going by today's price, for the time I was mining on notroll. This is $40 I would have if I had stayed at another pool.  Consider looking at it like this, your employer comes to you and says, hey, last week we accidentally overpaid a small percentage of our employees, so to make up for it this week, we're going to lower everyone's pay to compensate.  This just isn't how business is operated.  If a business owner makes a mistake or a poor decision, they pay for it, by either eating the cost or going out of business.  The world is harsh, but there it is.

Now as a miner, I have to ask myself if I feel comfortable staying on a pool that feels it is appropriate to take my funds when the operator makes a mistake or the pool is bugged.  Sorry, I'm just not that altruistic as to pay for someone elses mistake.

ps. I'm jealous of your hashing power, what kind of rigs are you running?

Welcome to a free market environment without any type of regulation.

This is the assumed risk of mining in a pool.

I bet none of us wouldve complained about the double gains if the hot wallet wouldve stayed full for a few more weeks now would we.

He took 118ltc from my account, i was doing 5 per day ! How is that "correct course of action"?! Its ok to take that double earnings, in my case it would be like 5-10 ltc not more. Also 25% is not a "small percentage".
Now i cannot withdraw the rest of my coins, im just waiting to be robbed again.

Shouldn't it be easy enough to identify which users got double-paid, and simply set their balances to negative the amount of over-payment? In turn, they'll have to mine their way back into the positive to gain coins again. Of course, there will be a few who simply took the double-pay and bailed. Not much can be done about that.

when will this be fixed?

Maybe if you read the thread you would know the admin is at the hospital RIGHT NOW and he can't access to his cold wallet to be able to refund the hot wallet (due to a fixed bug now but some people were paid double and there is a hole now). Right now this wallet is refund by block found, so 50 LTC each time, and that happen.. what.. between 1 and 6 times per hour? So all the pool have between 50 and 300 LTC to withdraw per hour. First coming, first served.

Thanks for the quick explanation. I was coming in to complain, turns out I wasn't the only user affected. I should really follow pool news more often.  Roll Eyes

We have these things called computers...?

When you look up your order history on Amazon, do you think that a human has manually read through millions of database entries to find the transactions that are yours?

Shouldn't it be easy enough to identify which users got double-paid, and simply set their balances to negative the amount of over-payment? I've moved my miners away from this pool for now until this gets fixed and based off other pools(history) they sometimes get too far behind and fade away . I've been burned before. I'm not saying this is what is happening nor do I know if he is in the hospital. Until this gets resolved I'm moving my miners elsewhere before I end up deeper in the hole to notroll.  Everyone else should do the same.
