What do you think? I think I might be close. I'm guessing $10,000 per bitcoin by then.

Very nice prediction, optimistic. And people who have more then 1000 + they will be what? If this is 100 % sure, every person on this world would try to buy some bitcoin. Like in some movie people would kill each other to get some coins and to earn 1000% on investment for just 4 years. I think its too much for coin to rise that much, I would like but its hard.

gold have more supply and can change from 1800 USD to 1000 USD in a single year ... be prepared for the rollercoster in Bitcoin with electronic and unalterable transactions.

The question is will you be able to reach 2020?  Roll Eyes

And if you will be able to reach 2020, would bitcoin still be accepted by then?  Roll Eyes

I didn't say this. Fix your quotes.

I invested in ETH and made money, WAVES, made money, JEWELS made money, NXT made money, BTC made a lot of money!
Follow me and profit.

With 100 bitcoin, you will be more than a millionaire. The price will be more than $20,000 then if the user number exceed 10 million.

I don't think so... but if the price soar high again, reach 1000 USD or more, then there's a chance... or if you are lucky enough, invest it then most probably you will be a millionaire in 2020  Smiley

Well, $1000 would get him to $100k... so 10% there. As for these "investments"? Doesn't involve 40 pirates or mavros... right?

I have to agree with you. In 2020 the bitcoin user base should be above 10 million and the price will have to compensate for that.

If you want to be a millionare in 2020 make sure to work hard and create an unique product.

Don't expect bitcoin to make you a millionare. It's not the purpose of bitcoin Wink
most of the people in this thread and this forum as well unfortunately thinks in this way.
First of all if 100BTC would be worth 1 million US$ that would mean that the meaning of that million we know today has devalued as well. The purchasing power of such million of paper money would be different than it is today.

10k a coin is = around x28 current price = around 140B marketcap, how this is not sustainable, still a very tiny marketcap if you ask me

That price requires much broader adoption than what we have nowadays in order to be sustainable. I am not sure based on what you draw the conclusion that such pricing is realistic (or even a bit undervalued if I read your post well). It is actually much harder to move the price from sub $1 to $100 than from $100 to $10k, although each time it is a 100-fold increase. Bitcoin would need much broader user base and more fundamental developments (e.g., ETFs, etc.) to support that. Otherwise we talk about one off speculation event similar to the Mt.Gox in the end of 2013.

It really depends just on how much the value of the bitcoin will be in 2020. Who knows, you can't really tell, you can only speculate and take your chances.

It is a wonder of to many that price but it is to early to be achieved in that year you write according to me. For bitcoin have not any obstacle which can impede to do what it want. If he want can do everything. But have not the needed kind of support from other factors which are indispensable for it to see that price. Have yet not to much spread, have not yet to much regulation/legalization and not to many countries which have regulated/legalized it. Most of those ignore totally it. So, even if he can made some other bubble like it like to act sometimes, cannot be such big to arrive that price. At least this is what I think. And at the end, I hope with all myself to be wrong regarding all the above I wrote.  Wink

Seems a bit to early to set this goal for yourself. 2020 is in about 5 years. Seeing as how much it's worth right now, I doubt you'll get to be a millionaire in 5 years. You never know with bitcoins though.

we moved the price from 100 to 1200 in no time, so i'm not really in agreement on this, if there are there right people behind the pump it can increase easily

if you add to this the right adoption 10k does not look so hard to achieve, and certainly not the final target of bitcoin

Probability pretty much zero.

$100,000 by then for 100 bitcoins seems fairly likely, long shot I'd guess perhaps quarter million at some point by then due to a price spike, but million I'd bet heavily AGAINST.

The last bubble popped big time, and folks get very wary about investing in something that already had one bubble for quite a while, even if there is some fundimental support for it to increase in price over time.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

Is very likely that the OP will have over $100k in bitcoins by 2020. That's still the very minimum.
My guess is ~$5000 per coin by 2020.

It would be sensible simply around $1000, a lot has been done but there is still a lot to do..

yes, we moved from $100 to $1.2k in no time, but here we are talking about the movement from the low $200 to $10k. That is nearly 50-fold, compared to a 12-fold move that was driven mostly by the Mt. Gox bots. Big pump group? well, a very big one then. I am not saying it is impossible, but I don't see it very realistic, unless something really fundamental happens in terms of Bitcoin adoption. And I haven't seen much changes when it comes to Bitcoin adoption, pretty much since the Mt. Gox crash. Still long way to 2020, so you can't completely rule it out. People in this forum tend to exaggerate a lot whenever we have a positive spell of price action, but that is not very representative to the status of Bitcoin outside of this forum.

I'm still quietly confident I will be a millionaire. And by 2030 I'll be a multimillionaire. Only then I hope I'm not too old to enjoy it!
