Should we expect another test season?


Everything seems unclear.
Need more share than from the team

Or you quit hounding and trust that devs are hard at work. They OBVIOUSLY are considering each of the updates so far. Development takes time so chill out and quit acting like a needy girlfriend.

Yes 0.8.7 is the latest release. There is the mobile soft launch coming before the full launch.
No date has been released for the full launch but the mobile soft launch should be sometime in November.

It is a very cool game and a great idea. The cards have beautiful art work and graphics and look very high quality. The names of the cards are all crypto currency events that have been turned into a fantasy setting. Absolutely supurb. I ask though, if I buy cards I most likely will get my money back but probably even more ?

I'm not trying to give investment advice.

Most of the cards have gone up in price since their release, however you have to consider several factors when you buy cards:
  • The price fluctuation of BitCrystals from when you bought the card (in BCY) and the time you are going to sell it.
  • Cards that are rare usually go up in value more.
  • Some cards are better for playing the game then others and are also more sought after by players.

So with that in mind you can make your own judgement.
Also consider that you can get free cards in game, they are not as rare as blockchain cards but if you just want to play the game then you don't have to spend money.

I asked because it seems to conflict with Spells of Genesis BLOG announcement made, quoted below:

"SoG will first be soft-launched in its web version, but it will be shortly followed by its mobile version, which you may expect before the end of September.

The mobile release will be enriched by in-app purchases, so players will be able to buy offchain cards in-game, with a certainty of getting rare, or even better card.

This game is not very balanced. With free cards you cant go further then the first 5 levels or so. The level with the spikes are unbeatable. Even the first levels are getting so hard, that you cant beat them. With my 12 stamina i have like 2 or 3 rounds that i can play, then i have to wait ages to play again. The first days it looked funny, but now its more or less unplayable. And the bounties are buggy. There is one, where i have to use an earth card for 3 games. I used an earth card for like 10 games, and got one increase (well maybe i have to win the game to increase the counter, but as earlier mentioned, its nearly impossible to win anything).
Does someone have the same experiences like me?

There's been a new announcement since then. It does state the soft launch for mobile is tentatively slated for November.

This not the full game release yet. There are a couple more big releases before then. I believe as time goes by the game will be fine tuned especially for newbies that mainly use ingame cards.
The achievements are also work in progress, they were first released for the latest Rewards Season a few weeks back.

I use mostly blockchain cards so I can get to finish the game no problem. However there are some free cards you get in game that are as powerful as the blockchain ones. It's mainly a question to be lucky and summon them.

The timer/stamina is pretty standard for games like SoG and other games also use it. There's been discussion about this on Slack and the team has taken notice.
I don't think the timer will disappear but it will be tuned. The reason for the timer is that if you could play forever without limit you will get bored of the game pretty quickly.
This way you can spend some time playing the game then do something else and get back when the stamina is loaded up. I personally don't have a problem with the stamina.

For the earth card "daily quest" you need to finish one game in one of the 5 levels on the map or finish the whole infinity mode (35 levels). Each level you complete should count as one and of course make sure you have a earth card in your deck.

I'm looking forward to the mobile soft launch to check out what new features and improvements will be added.  Smiley

many people that have played the game including myself can tell you that every level if beatable, the reason you are having problems beating the game is because you don't have a good deck of cards. you need to build your deck in order to advance in the game, takes time and determination, ( you could buy the cards but since this is a soft version, not all option are available yet ) this version is just to find bugs and stuff like that and doesn't represent a finish product.  

I started playing the game just like you with the basic free cards and took me many days and many tries to beat the spike levels. Now after a month of playing the game, I have been able to put together a stronger deck and those levels now are peace of cake to me. try earning gold coins, buy cards with those coins and fuse them to get stronger cards, once you get the hang of the game you will like it.

Just continue playing till you accumulate a good amount of gold coins to summong new cards, SAVE COINS till at least 800, then there will be more chances to get better FREE CARDS. This is just BETA release, so just use your playing time to learn what practices are good, so that when the final release comes you'll know what to do. ALL THE CURRENT ADVANCEMENT, UPGRADES and CARDS will be wipe out once the final release is published, hence there's no reason to worry so much now. -east

infinity level? have you unlocked infinity yet?



To unlock infinity you need to pass that spiky level. We reported that this is not good. since infinity is way to farm gold to get better cards. I am sure they will change this in next game patch. Since players stuck there or can take them 100+ tries to do it.

A common request unfortunately not seen as high priority by EDS team. Stats are usually not available in the API until a few hours before cards on sale. I will post them as soon as I can get the info myself, if not posted by then by EDS staff.
