It was a scam from the start, after dumping coins developers announced to abandon project and moved to new project.
Here is Shadowcash thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=745352.0

Basically was just few shills trolling this forum and polo trollbox. Annoying bunch.

Dear community, I would like to revive this topic. The competition race of anonymous coins continues ..

"The Dash Core Group, the US-incorporated company leading the development of the peer-to-peer payment platform and cryptocurrency Dash, has filed a provisional patent relating to its upcoming platform called Evolution, expected to launch in Alpha in H2 2018.

The patent deals with the registration and storage of metadata relating to blockchain-based user accounts on the Evolution platform. The group said it filed the patent for defensive purposes and will freely license its innovations to the public subject to terms and conditions of an accompanying licensing policy."

SDC is purely a scam, the war is left with XMR ( Monero ) and DASH.
I also believe DASH was shilled hard by just miners and Monero has the best of them all. XMR is really underpriced now. With ledgers and trezors support coming I'm thinking XMR would take the king's place among anon coins.

Information on SDC website: "The ShadowCash team have stopped working on the Shadow Project. They are now working on a new and improved project called Particl. Read the official announcement and follow Particl blog for more info."

How about Zcash? I believe that their team is a worthy participant in this competition.

Anonymous coins have one a big problem. Because of its main feature privacy-function, regulators in various countries don't like anonymous coins and can be declare them outside the law.

It seems that not all are afraid of this issue - http://fortune.com/2018/01/31/bitcoin-cryptocurrency-zcash-buy-invest/

In any case, even if many countries will ban anonymous coins, in the world will be a lot of opportunities for exchange. The development of technology no longer allows a total ban to various phenomena.

Remember all them other POS coins that tried going anon but failed.. why didnt navajo coin fail? because we have the expert skill sets and on point dev team who know which direction they are heading. By Navajo becoming the first POS anon coin to be fully working on a global scale is a paradigm shift my friend.. 23/03/2015 will be a day to remember just like march 2013 when bitcoin was still riding below $10

I love my SDCs Smiley

We must all unite to 1 alt coin if we want to survive this catastrophe of the ocean of shit coins we built.

We will get burned really fast if the crypto community does not work as a team.

Can we drop the egos and start acknowledging that Shadow is the only coin worth investing.

Best of luck to everyone. The proof is there, what else do you need?

I think all it would take is a significant amount of dark market usage. Or even worse, some perception that it's being used to fund enemy organizations(terrorists or whatever).
The thing is too that people probably underestimate how governments could affect even Bitcoin if they wanted to. If the Chinese government wanted to shut down those massive mining farms they easily could with little excuse. Same for pretty much any country. So it's a potential problem for everyone. I'm actually surprised no cryptocurrency opponent has come out with rhetoric about how miners are 'processing' dark market transactions, and use that to put pressure on them. I guess it's probably similar to how running a Tor node is though legally.

There is allot of immaturity in the crypto space, but if we all work together, instead of against each other, the technology will start moving forward way quicker Smiley
Thanks David for a great post.
Trolls and spammers are attracting negativity to the space, which is counter-productive.
I think its best we all get educated, instead of listening to what people say on the interwebz
